Chrysler

Product Development Engineer (R&D) January

2004 to November 2008

. Perform complex and specialized mechanical tests to validate new

component designs and system designs.

. Manage meetings with platform engineering, vehicle development and

suppliers to develop test plans to meet part and quality expectations

throughout product life, also covering DVP&R and CAE results.

. Responsible for the simultaneous testing of four vehicles on platforms

including small car, mid size, mini van and SUV to ensure product,

system integrity and preparedness for launch.

. Responsible for communicating test goals, issues and timeline status with

frequent written and verbal reports to platform engineering, suppliers

. Lead team to develop test plan and specifications for door sensors and

conduct test data acquisition to monitor door sensors for new FMVSS

for Design for Six Sigma

projects focusing on product improvement.

. Contributed to meeting testing budget goals through improved lab

efficiency with new process and procedures and conducted tests in

house that were to be outsourced.

. Responsible for developing and implementing specialized measurements

on competitive analysis testing for current and future product lines.

Multi-Axis Simulation Table (MAST) - Lab Programmer and Operator March

2001 to January 2004

. Responsible for definition of test requirements, execution,

development and control of the project.

. Worked with customers to develop project goals based on their

requirements and developed tests to meet and exceed

those requirements.

. Managed tests and supplies for the MAST lab through the use of

timelines, MS Project and priority.

. Completed a large number of tests by restructuring the flow of

material, and reducing the set up and test time.

. Responsible for replicating proving ground vehicle data on MAST to

conduct vehicle durability testing in the lab setting and reduce

external or environmental conditions.

. Wrote three procedures to reduce downtime, focusing on programming,

system control and preventative maintenance.

. Managed the 02 rear axle design: redesigned axle to adapt to

suspension modifications, evaluated MTE (Motion Transmission Error)

levels, reviewed and initiated changes suggested by test facility.

. Debug, root cause, and trouble shoot assembly and product issues using

DFMEA and PFMEA as tools.
