PROJECTS:
> Thesis Project (Java Swing, Java Speech API, Map Objects with
Java(MOJO -GIS application))
Developing a Geographic Information System (GIS) tool for Helix
Charter High School, San Diego. This will provide an "audio-visual"
tool to the teachers to assist them in teaching children in an
interactive manner. This tool will integrate Java Speech API with the
GIS MOJO software (Map Objects with java).
> Student Information Portal (Java Servlets, JSP, Java Script, CSS and
My SQL)
This web application provides a student information portal to enable
students to manage their information online. This was done following
all the steps of Software engineering paradigm (requirement spec,
object oriented modeling, design) including implementation. Unified
Modeling Language was used for all the modeling and designing. On
successful login, students are provided with the facilities to
maintain their online profile, check attendance, class schedules,
grades, fees, library book status and compose messages to be sent to
their classmates. Admin gets the privileges to add/edit/delete
students from the system and other data.
> Shopping Cart Application (Java Servlets, Java Script, MY-SQL, XHTML,
CSS)
This project involved building a small size shopping cart for a
fictitious chocolate selling company that allowed customers to buy
chocolates online. Also included an administrative account for the
admin to view different sort of reports related to sales and orders
from the database.
> Calendar/Event Scheduler ( AJAX with Google Web Toolkit, Eclipse IDE)
This project provides the functionality of a personal task scheduler
which the user may use to keep track of personal events, appointments
etc. Functionalities include ability to add/edit/delete events,
appointments for any date and navigational controls for the calendar.
Search tool is also provided using the GWT AJAX Suggest Box which
suggests all possible search outcomes for any character entered.
> Android Application (Android SDK, Eclipse IDE)
Developed an android phone application consisting of an address book,
alarm service and notification with the ability to add call
notifications on any address book contact. Developed on the Android
emulator as an academic project.
> Inventory Management System (Perl CGI, CSS, Java Script, XHTML)
The specifications of the project included building an inventory
management website for a retailer company providing an ease of
operations over the inventory and also for the customers of the
company. Specific functionality includes add, edit and delete
inventory items, host business events on the calendar, separate admin
accounts, uploading images for inventory items and events.
> Registration Portal (PHP, Java Script, CSS, XHTML)
This project involved building a registration portal where one could
register for a fictitious Marathon race. This portal also generated
report of registered participants for the administrator to view.
> Time Table Management System (JSP, CSS, Java Script, and MS Access)
This
project built a time table software on a central server handling all
the college activities related to faculty and students. Provided an
easy way of managing day to day time table activities.
