. Sun Certified System Administrator for Solaris 8

. Implement Oracle backup procedures which include: logical backup

implementation by using export / import process, physical backup

implementation by using RMAN utility; create and maintain RMAN

recovery catalog

. Perform Oracle database recovery procedures with RMAN utility and

flashback recovery function due to user errors, disk failure and data

file damage or loss.

. Manage and maintain Oracle database table spaces and objects which

includes: table space planning and creation; table space usage

monitoring, fragmentation coalesce, row migration and row chaining

detection, data file resize, data files rename; data files relocation;

table creation and maintenance; index creation, rebuild index and

index usage monitoring; db link, sequence, synonym and view creation.

. Troubleshoot Oracle database performance in system level, database

level and application level; Perform Oracle database performance

analysis, capacity planning, system sizing and ongoing

maintenance/tuning to ensure maximum performance; implemented

automated checks to ensure security and health monitoring of

databases; monitor users, instance and host activities; set metric

thresholds for performance alerts; run and use active session reports

and AWR to resolve performance degradation; configure and implement

ADDM to monitor database performance; review ADDM findings and

implement the recommendations; run and use SQL tuning advisor and SQL

access advisor to tune SQL statement.

. Manage database security; create users roles; grant and revoke object

and system privileges to users and role

. Create and maintain logical and physical standby databases with data

guard.

. Work with other technology groups to coordinate necessary hardware and

infrastructure to support the database environment; provide support to

developers and end users; document processes and cross-train with

other administrators.
