. Member of the HATS conversion committee.

. Designed, Coded, and implemented a New Document Control application

which automatically created the different Investor File "document

types" based on the posting date. This process affected all areas in

Vanderbilt. It replaced an application where the different document

types had to be created manually. The new process ran from ROBOT. All

the programs where created using Free format RPG with embedded SQL

statements, creation of SQL tables and indexes, Service Programs and

ILE Static binding.

. Replaced the existing IRS-1040 application and created a New process

Menu driven where the Users only had to call Operations to run it. No

programmer intervention was needed and the Users could run tests before

the final run. SQL tables were created, creation of binding

directories, service programs, free format RPG.

. Lead the first phase of a HATS implementation team where many of the

"Collection Application" Green screens where converted to GUI. This

effort was designed using SQL tables, programming on Free format RPG,

heavy use of service programs, stored procedures and activation groups.

These would later be used in the other phases of the project.

. Always worked on 8-10 concurrent projects modifying many RPG programs,

where I would convert to Free format RPG, modularize whenever possible,

create service programs when certain functions could be shared by other

programs, and update the program as much as possible while fixing the

specific problem.

. Re-designed Miami-Dade's Retirees benefits plans following Government

mandated changes. Database files where converted to SQL tables.

Applications where modularized and ILE standards were introduced.

Service programs where created, Static binding, embedded SQL.

. Enhanced the Work Order application by rewriting the Unique Service

Ticket assigned to every county order. The maximum number for a service

ticket was approaching. I designed a new numbering system at random

based on a combination of Department/Area/Section and a Random #. Most

of the master files were changed to accommodate this field expansion.

As a result, hundreds of programs needed to be modified using RPG IV.

. Created New application to process Online office supplies orders

through the Web. SQL tables were created, ILE service programs, Static

binding was introduced. The whole process was programmed using ILE. I

was responsible for the back/end processing of the orders. The

front/end was developed in Visual Basic.

comply with the Sarbanes & Oxley act.

. Analysis of business processes and modification of many RPG IV programs

to conform with new regulations and standards.

. Created different modules to upgrade the picking and packing programs

in the warehouse application. Many new RPG IV programs where designed,

coded, tested and implemented.

. Automated the End of Day closing procedure. Created several Control

Language programs to reconcile all financial applications. Automated

the A/R and A/P closing.

. Created New Ticket and Information request application. Users were

trained by departments and it became an instant success. All

programming was done using RPG IV.

. Analysis and programming for the Private Banking International software

which included a module for Foreign Exchange, a Securities module, a

Stock Exchange module, etc. Participated in the Y2K conversion team by

modifying hundreds of programs and screens to comply with standards

using RPG III and RPG IV.

. Participated in the EURO conversion project modifying many RPG programs

before the EURO was implemented as a new currency.

. Implemented the Y2K project in Jersey, Channel Islands and was

commended with honors for my dedication and hard work in the

programming efforts.

. Designed new custom forms and automated the UPS/Fedex labels for faster

shipping service and handling using RPG III.

. Modified entire billing application at PCA Healthcare Services using

RPG III. All the different billing plans had bugs and the billing

statements always had errors.
