ESRI ArcGIS
Designed a spatial database using spatial data modeling technology, and Server
imported the data into Oracle 10g. Worked with customers to identify ERSI ArcSDE
appropriate data, and gather requirements for the project. Acquired
necessary datasets and massaged data to fit the data model. Maintained Google
metadata using FGDC standards to retain data integrity for the spatial data. Earth Pro
Used Microsoft Visio to create and maintain database architecture, and used MS Office
Microsoft Project to help manage project timeline. Unit tested new releases Suite
of applications and tools prior to passing them into production. Wrote and MS Project
updated documentation in support of the project. Fulfilled the contract, and MS Visio
business needs of the client. MS Visual

Aided the fulltime development team with their push to 'go live' with a new
point of sale application using eclipse, Java, Visual SourceSafe, SQL Server
and Bugzilla. Participated in all parts of the SDLC including design, Languages:
development and implementation of final use cases to meet deadlines.
Application was developed within the eclipse framework using tomcat. Tested Avenue
software using JUnit, and worked with QA testers to test code prior to each CSS
release. Contributed at scrum meetings to discuss development status, cross HTML/XHTML
training of specializations, and improve application development through peer Java
review. JavaScript

Was part of a team developing an application for 5 different agencies within SQL
the Department of Interior for the US Government. The application is now XML/XSL
used as a budgeting tool for forest fire prevention and abatement on Vi
government managed lands primarily in the western half of the country. This
application leveraged IBM's strong analysis capabilities, and advanced GIS
functionality. Responsible for designing a web based application that Databases:
uploaded all spatial data into the Oracle 9i/Arc SDE database, using a
combination of Java mathematical algorithms and SQL. By integrating GIS IBM DB2
functionality and math with Java within the WebSphere integrated development Informix
environment, we were able to combine GIS into normal web transaction MySQL
processing. Met with customers for needs analysis, requirements gathering, Oracle
and created use cases and mockups for use by developers. Upon completion of SQL Server
the initial rollout of the application we began work on phase 2 which Sybase
included a new, more user friendly front end utilizing JSF (Java Server
Faces). The project lifecycle was managed using the Rational Suite software
including ClearQuest, ClearCase, and RequisitePro throughout the SDLC.

Developer/Data Analyst, Contractor June 2001 - NIX
December 2003 Citrix
NexGen Technologies, Lakewood, Colorado Windows
Vista/XP/NT
Created an enterprise spatial application and database using the ESRI suite 2000
of software. Designed and implemented LSIS (Land Survey Information System) DOS
database, and administered NILS (National Integrated Land System) database,
both databases utilized Informix. Wrote AML, Avenue, VBA, UNIX shell Web
scripts, and SQL scripts to automate tasks necessary in the data conversion Platform/
and implementation of both the LSIS and NILS databases. Managed LSIS project IDEs:
through the entire software development life cycle. Created and managed
documentation for both the LSIS and NILS projects. Examined current database Apache/Tomc
structures and developed an implementation plan to migrate the legacy at
database to an enterprise database system. Created several mapping websites Eclipse IDE
that were linked to BRIO/Crystal reports.
WebSphere
Data Analyst, I/T Specialist
May 1999 - May 2001
Idea Integration, Denver, Colorado
Developed a complex mapping system for an Aeronautical Engineering company
that plans take offs and landing approaches for airplanes. This system
analyzed digital elevation models (DEM), obstacle points such as cell towers,
navigational aids and other FAA requirements to create the most optimum
flight paths for each type of aircraft. This application was then used to
identify new approaches to airports all over the world that could then be
fine-tuned using proper FAA guidelines. We developed the application in
ArcView using a proprietary programming language called Avenue, and used SQL
to query the Sybase database. Created a custom spatial data loading
application that took all types of spatial data, created the table structure
and imported the data into Oracle.
Data Analyst/Developer
September 1996 -May 1999
Computer Data Systems Inc (CDSI),New Orleans, Louisiana
Contributed to the development of a spatial application for the Minerals
Management Service, in New Orleans, Louisiana. This application converted a
legacy system to ArcView using the Avenue programming language. Data were
migrated from the legacy ArcINFO format to shapefiles and finally to ArcSDE.
Designed and taught classes to MMS staff on how to use ArcView, the new
application and how to best use the new database. Installed the new software
and trained satellite office staff on how to best utilize the new
application. Created ad-hoc maps for use in Congress to illustrate the paths
of hurricanes and destruction of oil platforms in the Gulf of Mexico.
Contributed in the bid/sale of offshore mineral rights to oil and gas
companies in the Gulf of Mexico. Collaborated on a paper presented at the
GIS/LIS conference 1997 called 'An Integrated Land Mapping System'.
