I am currently employed with Tucson Electric Power Company (TEP) as
the Senior Energy trader. During the past 18 years with TEP I have worked
as a Plant Operator (4 years), Instrumentation and Electrical Planner (3
years) and Electrical Power Marketer (11 years).
Prior to working for TEP I worked for the US Navy in their Nuclear
Power Program as a Senior Enlisted Supervisor. Job duties included
operation of shipboard electrical generation and distribution system, work
on nuclear power plants, budgeting, scheduling maintenance, supervising,
writing procedures, supply management, and development of emergency
procedures.

As an Energy Trader for TEP I on a day to day basis forecast system load,
plan generation dispatch, deal with system constraints, purchase/sale
system excess power, plan power flow into system and oversee scheduling of
power to TEP load.
Senior Energy Traders also develop relationships with partner companies for
trading and support.
Senior Energy Trading also includes system advance planning and hedging as
well as future generation projects.

Senior Real-time Marketer
As Senior Real-time Marketer for TEP I have led the 5 person Real-time
marketing group in a non-supervisory capacity. I lead by example in this
role and advocate changes in policy, personnel, equipment, and systems.
Led TEP marketing group in Purchase-resale book profits for last four years
Designed and implemented individual profit books for traders. Books include
categories of Purchase-resale, system sales and under incremental cost fuel
savings for monitoring and reporting trading activity.
Instrumental in implementation of new web based ETag system in our group.
Facilitated scheduling coordinator operations with California ISO when
Power Exchange went out of business.
Instrumental in deployment of new Web trader accounting application.
Have designed and implemented several productivity spreadsheets and
