A Joint-venture between Agere Systems (previously Lucent

Technologies) and Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing.

1998 - 6/2004 QA Deputy Director

In charge of Quality Systems Operations of two Wafer Fabs: SMP and

Chartered Fab-3.

- Effectively worked with Senior VP of Operations, VP of

Engineering, and Engineering Managers to reduce, prevent

customer complaints and achieve customer satisfaction.

- Maintained and improved corporate quality system

performance metrics using Cost of Quality as key

indicator to drive quality performance of Fab operations.

- Gave work directions to a group of 9 people including

eight engineers and one document control.

TI RICHARDSON SEMICONDUCTOR LLC - Richardson, Texas (Formerly known

as TwinStar Semiconductor, Inc. which was a TI and Hitachi

joint venture on DRAM products)

1995 - 1998 Process QRA Manager

- In charge of the following functional areas: SPC,

nonconformance control system, waiver process, outgoing

quality control, major/minor change control system,

special work request (SWR) control, defect data analysis,

Quartz IQC, POU, internal audit, supplier audit, silicon

IQC, environmental, and calibration.

- Conducted process qualification release and verification

procedures of 16M and 64M DRAM processes including

conditional and full releases with respect to chemical,

gas, GR&R, calibration, SPC, process data, and reference

Fab data.

- Was selected as one of the key contributors of TwinStar

start-up activities.

HITACHI SEMICONDUCTOR (AMERICA) INC. - HISUS - Las Colinas, Texas

Quality Assurance Department - Process Quality Control Group

1989 - 1995 Process Quality Control Engineer - SRAM / DRAM / H8

Correlated equipment qualification data (oxide, poly, metal) to probe

yield data (prime and p2 yields). Directed partitioning

study projects to impact yield in defects detection such as

water spots (wet etch), under-etch (dry etch), chuck spots

(photo), and more.

Performed pre-source inspection of the original equipment manufacture

MAX 880 at Tokyo Electronics Co., LTD - Kofu City, Japan

including scanning speed and repeatability evaluations.

Developed a new inspection pattern for 4M DRAM reticle

defects detection.

Supported the data extraction format of the KLA 2131. Correlated data

of the KLA 2131 vs. MAX 880 inspection results to qualify

Microwave metal etchers.

SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY, INC. - Garland, Texas

1988 - 1989 Electronic Engineer

Characterized switching performance of the chopper control of a 500W

power supply for energy calculation. Experienced with

printed circuit board fabrication, prototype, technical

report and drawings documentation. Coordinated with sales

representatives for parts.

Project: Vari Lite Stepper Motor Controller. Designed power

circuits, motor controls and variable frequency drives.

Performed reliability testing and prototype (temperature

and random test).

Project: Xenon Searchlight Power Supply. Produced a "START" 40KV

500W at the ratio 100:1 through a toroidal coil power

supply by using power switching MOSFETs circuitry.
