Dear Sir or Madam,
Recently, I was employed with AarhusKarlshmn USA
(AAK-USA), as Construction Project Manager. I was responsible for all Plant
construction projects. Present project portfolio consists of: 10 story
Bleaching Plant expansion, 350KW Cogeneration Building, 15,000 sft.
Maintenance Building and a 700,000-gallon Tank Farm #4 Project. Present
Capital budget accountability is 30 million in total projects. Additional
responsibilities include permitting, PANYNJ TAA submissions, inspections,
and approvals, space planning and design, contract bid evaluation, and
contract vendor management.
Prior to AAK-USA, I was employed with Federated Logistics and
Operations, as Director of Maintenance and Engineering. At Federated, I
was responsible for a one million square foot facility and surrounding
grounds. Inside the facility, I maintained 19 miles of a very complex
conveyor sortation system. Along with the conveyor system, my normal
responsibilities consist of Management of employees, Preventive and
predictive maintenance, Facilities Maintenance, Janitorial, budgeting,
capital and construction projects, and all outside vendor service
maintenance contracts.
After my career with Federal Express, I was employed with an
electrical contracting corporation, All Jersey Systems, as a Senior Project
Manager. In this position I was responsible for overseeing every aspect of
industrial, commercial and government projects. This includes: reviewing
blueprints/plans, bidding/negotiating, drawing up contracts, project take-
offs, supplying submittals, equipment ordering, onsite management,
punchlisting, project closeouts and invoicing. I was responsible for
ensuring each project is completed according to client's specifications.
Earlier in my career, I was employed at Federal Express for 13 years
holding several positions within the facility maintenance department.
During those years, I had the opportunity to acquire a large amount of
knowledge in every aspect of facility maintenance management. This would
include contract management, budgeting, capital projects, preventive
maintenance and construction projects. Some of the contracts I was
responsible for included: janitorial, snow removal, waste management,
landscaping and fire detection systems.
Most of my experience was acquired at the 4 major facilities Federal
Express has in the Newark Airport area, but I was also responsible for 64
remote facilities for the Mid-Atlantic Region. In all locations, I
interfaced with all levels of management and coordinated with all
governmental agencies (Port Authority, EPA, and OSHA) necessary to complete
projects.
Some of the equipment I maintained are: the conveyor systems which are
run by Allen Bradley PLC3 & PLC5 industrial computers, the Johnson Control
DS-8500 HVAC system, Gamewell Flex 5000 fire control unit, General Electric
and Honeywell UPS systems, (4) 13.8 KVA sub stations and (4) 8500 kW backup
generators.
As you can see by my attached resume, I have had the opportunity to
acquire a great deal of facility maintenance and project management
experience. I am sure you will find my qualifications exceed your
requirements.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Sincerely,
Joseph M. Cerankowski
