Project Manager / Consultant (Construction and Development)
Engaged as an independent consultant for short to medium term development
projects. The scope of work involved the development of a critical
energy center to exclusively support the Miami Dade County School System,
and the renovation of the information technology services facility with
the construction of secure computer server / data rooms.
. Responsible for all management, coordination, and communication for
the development of a new energy center (6,000 sq ft) to support all
critical data process for the entire Dade County Public School
System. Systems were designed and installed for complete
redundancy while working in parallel, with three Uninterrupted
Power Supply systems, two 1000 KVA generators, three 20 ton HVACs,
two transformers, three main switchboards, 12,000 gallon diesel
tank, a FE-25 fire suppression system, and a concrete bunker style
structure.
. Successfully coordinated the first entire shutdown of the Miami
Dade County Public School System including all schools and
information technology to include, computers, mobile phones,
servers, support systems, school police, etc in order to activate
the new Energy Center. Not one problem was encountered.
. Project managed the complete renovation of the existing Information
Technology Services Facility to include: replacement of the entire
raised flooring, replacement of the fire suppression system and dry
chemical system, installation of IP based web monitoring system,
construction on new secure data / server rooms, complete renovation
of electrical infrastructure, replacement of roof and 100 tons of
HVAC units, installation of security systems and cameras.
. Established and updated the project programs, procedures, and
schedule for the completion of all phases of the projects.
