Sun Microsystems, Broomfield, CO (June 1999 – August 2009)

Senior Program Manager – ERP Infrastructure Project Implementation

Directed change management activities necessary to guarantee business continuity for Sun’s top 300 revenue generating customers

and OEMs. Impacted processes included Quote, Booking (electronic and manual), invoice, and sales exception (non-standard terms

and conditions).

• Directed teams of subject matter experts and key stakeholders to identify the 150+ business impacts imposed by the new

ERP system.

• Led the successful development of contingency or mitigation plans, prioritized by impact to revenue continuity and deal

volume in the sales pipeline, for all business impacts.

• Established and managed executive stakeholder change management plans to enable organizational resource and business

readiness decisions.

• Drove 3 key extensions to the ERP tool through Sun’s CCB process to meet customer satisfaction requirements (Run Rate

Business, Price Tolerance, Estimated Delivery Date).

Senior Program Manager – Contract Compliance

Project managed the successful resolution of a Sun contract performing out of compliance. The contract was highly visible,

contained complex terms and conditions, accounted for $500 million of revenue per year, and supported a Sun selling relationship to

an end customer.

• Directed teams of business partners and key stakeholders to understand identified compliance issues and requirements

necessary to overcome non-compliance situations.

• Managed trade-offs between system updates and business process enhancements such that costs remained within tolerance

while still achieving contractual compliance.

• Established and managed executive stakeholder change management plan enabling organizational resource and business

readiness decisions.

• Successfully obtained sign-off from Sun's Internal Audit organization that resulting systems and supporting business

processes were compliant with contractual obligations.

MCI Telecommunications Corp, Colorado Springs, CO (June 1995 – September 1997)

Lead Software Engineer – Network Switching and Billing

Successfully led the architecting and delivery of a set of infrastructural components into MCI's next generation call record

processing and billing systems. Project managed the effort delivering all architectural and software components within established

deadlines and within budget.

• Directed a team of 8 software developers implementing distributed process management and communications components

in C++.

• Architected the process management and communication facilities such that they supported central management and

recovery of process groups distributed across multiple platforms while facilitating the processing of 10,000 call records per

second.

• Leveraged and extended the infrastructural components and architectural principles for MCI's next generation billing

engine.

COMSYS, Colorado Springs, CO (June 1994 – June 1995)

Developed failover and recovery software for UNIX based systems at MCI Telecommunications Corp. Software handled process,
