Office programs prior to hire. The responsibilities include: Drafting and
designing structural steel drawings; plans, details, sections, and
concepts. Some other types of design would include pipe railings. Designs
include 2D AutoCAD shop fabrication drawings and field assembly schematics.
A drawing release package required the additional documents: Work Order
(field and shop), Bending tickets (for any pipe bending), Cut Lists (for
material being cut), Bill of Materials (for Purchase Order), as well as any
documentation concerning bids placed for painting and/or galvanizing
materials. Release package included the following recipients: Shop, Field,
Shipping, Quality Control, Shop Supervisor, Supervisor of Mechanical
Services, and Master File. Along with design responsibilities the use of
the following programs are included: Standard Microsoft Office programs,
and AutoCAD: 2010. Among other responsibilities were frequent
communications with shop employees to answer any and all detailed
questions.

requirements were a demonstration of ability to use Microstation and
Microsoft Office programs prior to hire. The responsibilities include:
Drafting and designing concrete and steel drawings; plans, details,
sections, and concepts. Designs include 2D Microstation and 3D Plant
Design Management System (PDMS) drawings and schematics. Concrete drawings
and details include rebar reinforcement and anchor bolt arrangement along
with scheduling and datum/geodetic definition. Waste water management and
drain systems through the use of concrete trenches and pipes using
applicable invert elevations. Steel drawings and details include beam and
column sizing, scheduling, datum/geodetic definition and connection details
as well as piping supports and hangers. All other standard drafting
practices are applied. Along with design responsibilities the use of the
following programs are included: Microstation V8 XM, PDMS, PDMS Review,
Snag-It 5.0, Lotus Notes 7, Standard Microsoft Office programs, and
Documentum - A digital document storage system. Among other
responsibilities were the attendance of monthly safety meetings, and the
participation of random safety auditing.
Computer Aided Drafting Designer

This contract position required a demonstration of ability to use AutoCAD
prior to hire. The responsibilities of the position were to design
conceptual layouts of service stations using site plans that contained
existing conditions. Once concepts were approved by a steering committee,
architectural drafting knowledge was required to produce an interior layout
using current standards and equipment. If needed, mechanical drafting
skills were used by the designer to update standard drawings that included
fuel dispenser operations, piping layouts, and tank configurations. This
position specifically required that the designer be able to adapt to all
forms of drafting, and have a full understanding of civil design and
drawings to communicate with cities and townships about land acquisition
and proposed conditions. Programs used to complete projects included
AutoCAD: 2006, AutoTURN 5, Raster Design 2006, Microstation, Autosketch,
GIS programs and Adobe Acrobat Reader/Writer, plus all other windows
programs and applications.

Drafting preliminary designs from existing details or hand-drawn sketches,
