Objective:
I am seeking a full time position as a Senior / Lead Software Engineer.
Qualifications:
I have approximately 25 years of C/C++ experience, and 1+ year of Flex
Builder and ActionScript experience. My OS experience is Windows (strong)
and Mac (moderate). I have a basic knowledge of Unix, via the Mac OS X
command line. During the 1+ years working on Photoshop.com, I was exposed
to HTTP and XML daily. I am currently learning C#.
During my time at Adobe Systems, I was employed as a senior computer
scientist. My primary duties were to design and implement features that
were integrated into the Photoshop product line. Secondary duties also
included working with marketing to define product features, work with
project management to determine schedules, work with content and user
interaction teams to ensure their deliverables were integrated into the
product build in a timely manner, and to assist QE with the development of
test plans.
I am familiar with and have utilized many software development methods:
waterfall, extreme, big design up front, spiral and agile. Most recently,
we used the agile method at Adobe.
I am a mature, organized, well balanced contributor to the product team. I
have a thorough knowledge of the software development cycle and am customer
focused. I understand the concept of team synergy, and believe in it
strongly.

Adobe Contributions:
Photoshop Elements-
PSE 3.0: Major contributor on the Quick Fix workspace mode.
PSE 4.0: The Magic Selection Brush, where I integrated the early stages of
the ATG (Advanced Technology) cut graph selection algorithm into the
product as a Photoshop tool. If you enjoy the Quick Selection tool in
Photoshop today, then you partially have me to thank for the way it works.
PSE 5.0: The entire content browser, which was integral to the newly added
Printed Creations feature in 5.0, including the SQL lite interface in the
product.
PSE 6.0: The Guided Edit panel interface to Flash SWF file. This was a
ground breaking 2 person task (myself and a colleague) in that it was the
first time a Flash based UI was seamlessly integrated into the Photoshop
product line.
PSE 6.0: Adjustment Manager- internal technology that allows the Photoshop
adjustment and previewing technology (EG Shadow & Highlights) to be treated
as modeless. This was absolutely critical to the success of the Guided Edit
Flash based panel.
PSE 7.0 During the 7.0 development cycle, I was project lead for the
technology transfer of the Editor application to the India engineering
team.
PSE 8.0: The entire UI. If you are interested in the history of the
divergence, then convergence of the Photoshop and Photoshop Elements UIs,
ask me about this.
