Provides strategic design and implementation contracting. Recent projects
include the areas of software design, system integration, authentication &
authorization, data modeling, web development, and digital content
repositories. Significant projects include:
. Chief Architect for MIT's Open Knowledge Initiative. Designed a suite
of software specifications to implement a design-by-contract Service
Oriented Architecture (SOA) fostering interoperability and reuse among
diverse applications and systems collaborating among universities,
publishers and software vendors. Chair global working group meetings
and teach developers interface design patterns. Produced reference
implementations using advanced design patterns in Java for both web and
native GUI applications.
. Architect for the California State University Digital Marketplace.
Produced an architectural framework including identity management to
enable a diverse 23-campus school system to integrate among an array of
third-party publishers to manage content delivery using federated
identity management.
