The Andersons, Inc. is a diversified company with interests in the grain,

ethanol and plant nutrient sectors of U.S. agriculture, as well as in

railcar marketing, industrial products formulation, turf products

production, and general merchandise retailing.

Project Engineer / Project Manager

Lead engineer and manager for multiple projects ranging from plant layout

and equipment installation to retail store fixtures and infrastructure.

. Project Manager and Lead Engineer for design, installation, and

startup of a $1.8M automated bagging system and new warehouse facility

at the Lordstown, Ohio wholesale fertilizer complex.

. Project Engineer for new $1.5M grain storage project including bid

specifications, layout drawings, and contractor/vendor selection.

. Developed and implemented an internal 25-person class on Project

Management Basics for facility operations managers (Dec. 2007).

. Chairman of the "Green Team" Energy and Utility committee; performed

Responsible for product design and drawing maintenance using Pro/ENGINEER

Wildfire and Pro/INTRALINK 3.3. Performed linear and non-linear static

finite element (ANSYS) analyses. Conducted detailed, substantive mechanism

design reviews. Analyzed and determined the disposition of discrepant parts

during manufacturing.

. Spearheaded lengthy and detailed review to ensure design integrity,

reliability, and performance according to stringent Navy/DOE

standards.

. Performed computer-simulated product tests for critical components

using ANSYS FEA software.

. Led company-wide initiative to upgrade Pro/ENGINEER modeling software

to the new Wildfire release including research, testing,

implementation, training and mentoring, and problem solving of user

issues.

. Obtained DoD Confidential level security clearance for work on Navy

Led the design and development effort for the Hole-Hog product line,

including product field testing and ustomer support. Performed FEA for all

of Allied's product lines, as needed. Served as the administrator for all

CAD/CAE software with responsibility for installation, upgrades, training,

and in-house support.

. Performed failure analysis of returned units for repair

disposition.

. Redesigned the Model 310 Hole-Hog tailpiece for increased strength

and durability, subsequently lowering warranty costs. This new

design is currently patented under International Patent No.

WO/2006/047386 (searchable on http://www.wipo.int).

. Helped to originally implement and champion the use of Pro/ENGINEER

3-D CAD.

. Contributed to the implementation of the Mfg/Pro ERP system;

responsible for checking and setting up many bills of materials for

existing product lines.

A privately held company specializing in the design and manufacturing of

liquid level indication, flow, steam trap, separation, and other boiler,

process piping, and fluid control products.

Application Engineer

Handled inside sales and technical support of the Jacoby-Tarbox and

Jerguson Eductor product lines. Designed custom flow indication products

based on individual customer specifications. Served as central

administrator for managing all aspects of large contracts (>$50k) involving

the Jacoby-Tarbox line of products.
