RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reviewed and analyzed business requirements, functional specifications, and

technical design documents to identify testing needs and prepared test cases

Involved in developing Test Plan and Test Strategy based on Business

QA Test Engineer - June 2005 to February 2007

Nextel Telecommunications was best known for providing a nation-wide push to talk

mobile communications system. Unlike other cellular providers' networks, Nextel's

network operated in the Specialized Mobile Radio (SMR) band, and Nextel was one of

the first providers in the United States to offer a national digital cellular coverage

footprint. The company was the first in the US to integrate a GPS system into their

phones and set up a complete 2G Network Upgrade. Nextel was also an industry leader in

Customer Lifecycle Management. Nextel was known for best-in-class customer retention

rates, and customer lifetime value (CLV).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for testing web based Customer RCC application. This is a web application

tool used to basically to solve the cash issues faced by customers. It contains five

modules. Cash Issues, Supervisory Functions, Confirm the Completed Issues, Other

Options and Confirm the New Issues. In Cash Issues Module, we can find the pending

issues in each region, closed issues, generate letters for the customer. In supervisory

functions we can run cash analysis queries, run reports, generate letters, run pending

issues by region queries. In this we can confirm/resubmit complete cash issues of

customers. In other options we can run reports, check new issues, checks pending by

region and so on.

Participated in developing test plan and test strategy which specifies testing

overview, testing approach, scope, roles and responsibilities of testing team.

Performed manual testing of the application to verify Functional, Integration,

System and Regression testing.

Involved in the system study and requirement gathering

Reviewed Requirement and Functional Specification documents and provided

comments to improve Product quality.

Designed test plans and defined test cases for functional, integration, system

testing and also tracked and reported defects through Quality Center..
