Over 17 years experience within the electric generation and distribution

industry. Experience includes work in gas, oil, coal, and nuclear power

generation in all areas of the business, including engineering, operations,

dealing with Nuclear Regulatory Commission, New York State Department of

Environmental Conservation, New York State Department of Labor, and New

major unit outages (assistant), TRONA injection test program,

snubber inspection and testing, gas valve testing and

installation, new electric meter installation, and flame

scanner installation.

. Spearheaded a major station improvement project team, on a

three month project, that resulted in annual savings in excess

of $8 million dollars.

. Coordinated and completed two major turbine tests, two major

pulverizer tests, and three major boiler tests and subsequent

tuning.

. Supervised union employees trained in maintenance, instrument

and controls, test and performance, results, and operations.

. Supervised management employees as Operations Group Leader

. Successfully completed temporary assignments as Operations

Group Leader, Test Engineer, Coal Yard Supervisor, and Results

Plant Engineer

Responsible for PdM/PM program, plant performance, heatrate, reporting, and

work orders. Involved in outage planning and work choices. Currently

working on upgrading the PdM/PM system. Working to upgrade the heat rate

program, and performance testing program. Responsible for all station

performance tracking and reporting. Recently complete an OEM assessment

for the Bethlehem Energy Center. Recently completed RCA on feeder

deflagration. Fluent in SAP for both work management and PM writing.

MIRANT (formerly Southern Energy)

1999 to June 2008

Performance and Plant Engineer

Responsible for all performance analysis, reporting, testing and

improvements. Set all station goals related to Equivalent Availability and

EFOR. Initiated a program to reduce ignition gas usage which has resulted

in a greater than $1 million dollar savings in two years. Began plant

fire protection program and rewrote the plant's emergency plan. Part of

management team, which created both a five-year budget and business plan

for both the station and the New York/New England region. Created plant

incident and environmental reports. Involved in all plant troubleshooting

and improvement planning. Responsible for review of all unit trips through

the control systems to determine root cause of each. Station contact for

all GADS, Sarbaines Oxley, new source reviews, incident reports, root cause

analysis, and radiation issues. Currently serving as Results Supervisor,

including all SPDES and other environmental reporting and compliance

issues. Worked with the demolition contractor to ensure that it would be

turned over safely.

ORANGE & ROCKLAND UTILITIES

1997 to 1999

Performance Engineer

Responsible for performance testing and reporting at five generating plants

in the system, including all goals and heatrates.

Successfully assisted in managing a major outage at Bowline Unit 1,

including generator field removal and all fan work.

Created and distributed new performance reports including controllable

losses by shift, cost of losses and plant performance daily reports.

Identified the failure of a 600-Megawatt control valve stem, without having

to shut the unit down.

Identified the failure of a circulating water pump shaft on the same unit,

before it caused unit derates.

Utility contact for all GADS and NYISO reporting.

Performed all performance testing at station, including coal fineness

testing.

CONSOLIDATED EDISON OF NEW YORK (Con Ed)

1990 to 1997

Test and Performance Supervisor, Indian Point 2 Nuclear Power Station -

1993 to 1997

Supervisor in nuclear station's test and performance group. Supervised up

to 14 test technicians. Responsible for plant performance, in service

testing, predictive maintenance, vibration analysis, flowmeter work,

thermography equipment, direct reading gauge calibration program, and all

metering and test equipment within the station. Generating equipment was

one 1013 Megawatt PWR nuclear station. Created a gauge calibration program

sited by the NRC as "one to model." Evaluated a safety valve leak using

thermography to prove that the station was in compliance with the NRC.

Performed all set up for the chemical cleaning of the nuclear side of the

plant to reduce exposure. Project manager for all snubber testing and

inspections.

Assistant Engineer, Central Engineering Group - 1991 to 1993

As part of the Con Ed training program, assigned to work four different

jobs within Central Engineering Group. Each assignment was six months,

with presentation made to plant manager level committees at three-month

intervals. The assignments completed were:

. Inspection supervisor Van Nest Repair shop: Performed inspection of

failed equipment to determine cause of failure and to create a repair

procedure to return the equipment to service.

. Watch Supervisor - East River Station: Held watch on shift for three

units burning oil and gas.

. Maintenance Supervisor - Central Substations: Responsible for all

maintenance activities in large substations in the Con Ed system.

. Instrument and Controls Supervisor - Indian Point Station: Responsible

for up to 8 technicians on normal duty and 10 technicians performing all

required PM's during a refueling outage.

Assistant Engineer Program - 1990 to 1991

Performed three-month assignments in underground work, field engineering,

steam generation engineering, and mechanical and electrical maintenance

supervision.

. Check Valve Diagnostic Equipment - Trained by manufacture, this system is

used to determine both if a check valve opens and if it is functioning

properly while open.

. Temperature reading equipment - Including Infrared, thermocouples,

thermometers, and RTDs.

. Tachometers - Both contact and non-contact.

. Basic calibration equipment - Including pneumatic and digital deadweight

tester, temperature blocks, vibration shaker tables, hand held pressure
