RE: Lisa Dekin-Brazdis, Candidate
To Whom It May Concern:
I have been requested by a colleague of mine in reference to a letter of
recommendation for a position within your organization. Based on my
working relationship with Ms. Dekin-Brazdis I would strongly recommend her
for any position.
Over my professional career I have hired hundreds of employees and can only
reflect on the qualities I seek in candidates. First and foremost, I
assess how a candidate will fit in the environment I am looking for
assistance in. Secondly, I assess if a candidate can support my standards
of communication and service to the constituents they will be working and
interacting with. Thirdly, I assess the candidate's energy level and how
his/her presence can motivate the team they are working with. Last, but
not least, I assess the technical skill set a candidate brings to the
position, and measure the gap that might exist based on the position's
technical need. Based on this criteria listed above I recommend Ms. Dekin-
Brazdis.
I believe Ms. Dekin-Brazdis' pleasant disposition would be a good fit in
almost any situation. My experience with her as an executive
administrative assistant was a very good test on this topic. Ms. Dekin-
Brazdis supported an entire team of people, let alone a few executives at a
time, and did so with confidence, professionalism and personality, which
made her a valuable member of the team.
When dealing with Ms. Dekin-Brazdis it is easy to feel her energy that she
brings to situations. In fact the energy she has put into her family and
her own life is something I aspire to have. In my dealing with her I find
her zest for life to be infectious and ultimately motivate me to do more.
Of course an important issue to assess when looking at any candidate would
be the technical skill set that he/she would bring to the table. While I
am not familiar with the required skills necessary to successfully perform
this position, I have never seen Ms. Dekin-Brazdis struggle with any
technical skills. She is very bright and can probably handle more tasks
than she can articulate.
