Business Development & Marketing
1. Founded and Manage Solar Utilization Now, LLC, Phoenix, AZ, a
diversified renewable energy consulting firm. Services offered
include complete EPC project management, site acquisition and
permitting, and facility & community energy planning.
2. Formerly President & CEO of a 21-person Civil Engineering and Planning
consulting firm that provided professional services to private-sector
clients throughout the United States. Through my enterprise
leadership I accomplished the following:
. Dramatically grew sales and net profits, increased client base
and expanded service offerings.
. Created and lead company's strategic marketing plan and directed
company's branding and marketing campaigns.
. Prepared and delivered winning proposals and presentations.
. Secured a pipeline of service engagements and converted to
profitable contracts.
. Successfully negotiated and closed an unsolicited acquisition /
merger transaction with a national engineering services firm.
. Organized a consortium of real property owners to undertake the master
development planning of an approximate 2,200-acre planning area.
Developed a proprietary method of project funding that reflected owner
pro rata ownership interests and project milestone completion status.
Duties also included project controls and subcontractor management.
Energy Industry
. Currently direct the operations of Solar Utilization Now, LLC, a
diversified renewable energy consulting firm. Recent client
assignments have included:
. GEOVerdi Energy Systems, LLC, Phoenix, AZ - Consulting Project
Manager for all project origination and development services
including due diligence, scheduling and cost estimating for a
local ESCO (Energy Service Company) using solar, geothermal and
wind technologies.
. Solar Power Plant Site Selection & Acquisition, Arizona state-
wide (Confidential Clients) - Provide site identification, site
acquisition and due diligence services to several prominent
international CSP and PV solar power developers. Targeted sites
included large land sites, BLM sites and roof-top opportunities.
. Cambrian Energy Landfill Gas-to-Energy Project, Phoenix, AZ - Acted as
the Principal-in-Charge overseeing all site planning and regulatory
agency permitting services on a 3.6 Mw landfill gas-to-energy project.
Specific project challenges include acquisition of access and rights-
of-way, municipal code variances, and an aggressive client schedule.
. Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, Units 2 & 3, Wintersburg, AZ -
Lead Project EPC Planner for Unit 2 construction with responsibility
for reactor building and turbine assembly areas. Lead Start-up Test
Planner on Unit 3 for the 1,270 Mw PWR reactor coolant systems.
Employed by Bechtel Power Corporation.
. Enrico Fermi Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 2, Monroe, MI - Acted as Team
Leader for EPC planning and scheduling activities for fuel storage,
radwaste building and 500KV switchyard areas on a 1,098 Mw BWR nuclear
power plant. Employed by Fluor/Daniel Corporation.
