Regression Model building Term Project

. Build up best model to predict Profits of the insurance company and

check model assumptions to see if the model is valid

. Use logistic regression to predict whether the person will live or die in

a particular treatment

. Build up best model to find trend along time using Time Series ARIMA

model

Statistical Database Management Term Project

. Given nursing school sample data, use two sample T-test to decide if

there's difference between two study methods.

. Import raw data into SAS and do data cleaning; analyze data using both

descriptive statistic including mean, variance, range, distribution and

influential statistic; generate report in specific format.

. Use SAS data step and Proc SQL to combine data sets, retrieve and

manipulate data.

. Use SAS procedure such as GLM, REG, LOGISTICS to find best model.

. In SAS and SPSS, Given leather resistant to abrasion data, use 2-

factorial design or Latin Square experiment to decide which grade of

leather is most resistant to abrasion.

. Using Proc IML to do Bank simulation: The program is to simulate the

arrival of 50 customers at the bank 10000 times, then calculate mean and

Database Management Term Project

The project is to build an online book store. Customers can log into our

store. Their activities such as searching for books, placing orders are

processed through operating a database created on a Microsoft SQL server.

The store manager who has an administrative account can add items into the

database on the server.
