Mechanical Engineering team established to work with the U-M
Psychology Department to parse, analyze, and model gathered data as
a dynamic controls system.
Performed data analysis on cumbersome observational data using
MATLAB to allow straightforward interpretation by both departments
and to prime for Simulink feedback modeling.
Met with representatives of the U-M Psychology Dept. in an
interdisciplinary environment to discuss goals and results of
ongoing work through presentations and formal reports.
Design of Mechanical Impacter for Testing Cable Wave Propagation
Team Leader, Researcher September 2007 - January 2008
Collaborative project with Prof. Noel Perkins and the United States
Navy aimed at the design, manufacture, and formal documentation of
an impacting device for use in naval research.
Met regularly with project advisors and representatives of the US
Navy regarding the formulation of design goals, viability of various
conceptual designs, and subsequent design methodologies employed.
Detailed and manufactured the approved prototype design using CAD
and CAM under strict project deadlines, while documenting all stages
of the design process for formal presentation.
Presented final design and submitted formal report to project
advisors, the US Navy, and Michigan State Senators and
Representatives at State Capitol in Lansing, MI.
