manufacturing operation. Responsible for the production, application, and
firing of glaze, body and glaze materials, and formulation.
Directed glaze production department which produced 10,000 gallons of glaze
per month in 50 colors. Supervised 12 hourly and 2 salaried employees.
Directed four technicians responsible for the firing of ten kilns.
. Attained operating budget for 1997 within 3% of goal for glaze production
department.
Evaluated and introduced raw materials which saved over $100,000 per year.
Reduce barium in the waste, eliminated lead and improve acid resistance in
fast fire matte glazes by reformulation.
