Researching and assessing Chip Multi-Processing (CMPs) (August 2006 -

We are trying to introduce scalable architectures to deal with the

increasing number of

intellectual property (IP) blocks under future Chip Multi-

Processors (CMP). Different

approaches that we suggested resemble those that are being

incorporated under today's chips

from top manufacturers like Intel.

Researching and assessing existing routing protocols for Ad-Hoc mobile

networks

WORKSHOPS

October 2007

I aided in preparing a Multi-Core Processing tutorial along with Dr. Hesham

El-Rewini which was used in seminars at top universities in Mexico. The

tutorial introduced different Multi-Core Processing concepts and simulation

tools. It also introduced some open problems in the world of multi-Core

processing including power management techniques and synchronization.

July 2004

Diploma Programme Summer Workshop, held in Geneva, Switzerland. The

workshop was organized by the IBO Regional Office for Africa/Europe/Middle

East and was led by experienced teachers from IB Diploma Programme schools.

I later incorporated the experience I gained from this workshop to help my

school be among the first to incorporate the International Baccalaureate

Computer Science program in our region.
