Simics.
. Published: Wael Kdouh, Hesham El-Rewini, "Multi-Level Power
Management Policy for Multi-Core Chips." In ISCA 22nd International
Conference on Computer Applications in Industry and Engineering
(CAINE-2009), November 4 - 6, 2009.
Teaching Assistant
Southern Methodist University, Dallas, TX
August 2005 - Present
Courses Taught:
. Introduction to computer programming course using C++. I taught different
C++ topics ranging
from rudimentary concepts like structural programming, to more
advanced topics like object
oriented programming.
. Data Structures and Algorithms course using C++. I taught different
advanced C++ topics like
Priority Queues, Hashing algorithms, and Graph theory. I also
taught general algorithmic
concepts like time/space complexity analysis and code
optimization.
. Advanced Programming Language course using Java: I taught different
advanced Java topics like
networking and database connectivity.

Science program.
. Led the school to be among the first to incorporate such a program in
our region.
. Increased the percentage of students accepted in the Computer Science
programs at top tier universities in Lebanon.
. Taught advanced C++ and Java topics as well as CCNA level networking
concepts.
Built an advanced computer lab for carrying different networking as
well as programming projects.
Graduate Intern
Lebanon Central Bank, Beirut, Lebanon
July 2002 - October 2002
. Successfully simulated different breaching activities using Ethereal
and WinPcap which helped protect our network from different malicious
attacks like denial of service.

Researching and assessing Chip Multi-Processing (CMPs) (August 2006 -
ongoing )
We are trying to introduce scalable architectures to deal with the
increasing number of
intellectual property (IP) blocks under future Chip Multi-
Processors (CMP). Different
approaches that we suggested resemble those that are being
incorporated under today's chips
from top manufacturers like Intel.

(August 2003 - June 2004)
o We introduced a routing protocol for Mobile Adhoc Networks which

________
WORKSHOPS
October 2007
I aided in preparing a Multi-Core Processing tutorial along with Dr. Hesham
El-Rewini which was used in seminars at top universities in Mexico. The
tutorial introduced different Multi-Core Processing concepts and simulation
tools. It also introduced some open problems in the world of multi-Core
processing including power management techniques and synchronization.
July 2004
Diploma Programme Summer Workshop, held in Geneva, Switzerland. The
workshop was organized by the IBO Regional Office for Africa/Europe/Middle
East and was led by experienced teachers from IB Diploma Programme schools.
I later incorporated the experience I gained from this workshop to help my
school be among the first to incorporate the International Baccalaureate
Computer Science program in our region.
