I was headhunted by Fox Mobile while employed by Mnemonic, I felt it as a
considerably great opportunity, one not to be passed on as Fox is the
biggest corporate media company in the world with business dealings in 38+
countries. I joined FMD as the Business Development Manager for South
Africa. FMD has been existing on the fringes of the South African Mobile
content with minimal advertising campaigns spread over various television
channels. I had been brought in to develop business to business based
relationships, to source and develop relationships with new local South
African content providers.
On joining FMD I was sent to Berlin on an intensive training course for a

that I would be instituting in the South African Market, and then later to
the extended African territories.

I was contracted to set up a mobile division within Mnemonic, who are the
interactive arm of King James, an award winning advertising agency situated
in Cape Town and Johannesburg. My Role was primarily surrounding the
setting up relations with the various carriers, and aggregators, and
developing a product for Mnemonic. The product called OnceOnly, is a
digital portal that allows mobile users to enter promotional competitions
set up by various clients ie. Ackermans, Windhoek ect. I was contracted to
develop the business model, and to institute it and create relationships
with the necessary partners
I was responsible for -
doing analysis and integration of databases that exist on the clients
platforms that were hosted by Mnemonic for use by the OnceOnly portal.
Compiling reports on target demographics and further breakdowns therein.

I was contracted by Vodacom to recruit Pioneers(beta testers) to test a
mobile application and to market the product online through various social
networks and blogs, including creating various viral solutions to the
branding of the Grid.
The Grid is a mobile application which is a combination of an Instant
Messenger, a social network and has GPS triangulation capabilities, I was
originally involved in the design of the navigation and technical design of
the framework. I am currently moderating the information that is posted on
this network, and continuing my marketing of the Grid.
I am responsible for maintaining the users and beta testers of the Grid,
this means making sure that the application is bug free, by reporting to
the development team the problems that arise, through a laborious testing
process which is managed by me. I am also responsible for creating a High
Level Executive Report that is issued to the Executives of Product
development of Vodacom, and meet with them regularly to report on the
status of the user interaction with the Grid.
Analytic reports and statistical analysis is a large part of my reporting
process, to understand and identify the defects with the software, and
finding solutions to aid usability within the mobile social network.

My role was to assess the needs of the government
controlling body of MCM and then to draw up a sitemap
and information architecture document identifying
strengths and weakness of the organization. I also
dictated the focal aspects of the organization that
should be prevalent on the website, this was the
initial phase of a 5 tier process. The website was
however not the only aspect of MCM I was involved in, I
was also responsible for the look and feel of the forms
that would go to applicants :

The position I held at Mweb was one of a
coodinating role and of strategic implementation.
I worked closely with a Brand Manager, to maintain
member retention, Our responsibilities were to
oversea the development and implementation of Online
campaigns that would promote current Mweb members to
remain with Mweb rather than leave to join ABSA's
free ISP service.
I was responsible for creative briefing and
scheduling with a design team to create and
implement Banner and pop-up placements of
competitions and ads on various sites and to brand
new services' offered online. My role included
analysing statistical data gathered from WebTrends
and other statistical gathering programs and then to
create spreadsheets, to assess accountability of
various campaigns these would then be assimilated
similar to a pay per click style method which would
then be offered to existing affiliates.
I was also responsible for forging alliances for
reciprocal links that would allow us to advertise a
certain products and/or services that we offer eg.
the launching of Encyclopeadia Brittanica online
through Mweb and various Kalahari.net products ( one
of Mweb's affilliates)
Newsletters were another of my main focuses, I would
target specified groups of individuals with
newsletters that would be pertinent to them based
upon statisical analysis taken from server logs and
online surveys which was analysed and assesed by me.
I was also involved in overseeing the implementation
of user interactive platforms to enable feedback
from customers online, which I would then create a
report to my Brand Manager to asess.
Another aspect of my responibilites was submissions
