Consultant contracted to Cricket Communications, Inc. to deliver an end to

end monitoring solution for the organization's Nationwide Mobile Broadband

Service. This project entailed managing the engineering, operations and

field personnel supporting all customer data network nodes encompassing

over 170,000 specific interfaces. This program was delivered under budget

and nearly 3 months ahead of schedule to meet highly accelerated business

objectives.

California ISO

Sr. I/T Consultant -Network Folsom, CA : 11/08 - 3/09

Implementation Manager

I was personally recruited to lead the "NERC CIP ESP Network Redesign

Project". The objective was to bring all "Critical Cyber Assets" within an

"Electronic Security Perimeter". In support of federal regulation

compliance, all network nodes, servers and applications required for the

delivery of electricity across five western states were migrated to a new

"secure" network. The project completed under budget and months ahead of

schedule. Considering this grid supports the world's fifth largest economy

and was migrated without incident, the CAISO Executive Leadership Team

hailed the Project a great success.

Cricket Communications, Inc

Director - IT Infrastructure & Field Greenwood Village, CO : 02/08 - 11/08

Operations

Responsibilities included IT Infrastructure operational activities and

Market Build/Launch teams. In cooperation with C-level and Sr. Leadership

personnel, effected a strategic direction and long term vision. This

facilitated a low cost, high quality (plan-build-operate) support structure

that increased corporate revenue, margin, performance and customer

satisfaction/retention through the introduction of new technology, business

approach, process, enhanced service models and comprehensive staff

mentoring/training. We achieved & maintained one of the lowest OPEX CCU

(Cash Cost per User) in the wireless industry. Other activities included

the development & deployment of a Business Continuity plan, a Disaster

Recovery Data Center. Proposed & administered a Multi-Million dollar budget

responsibility, staff support of 50+, and was appointed a valued member of

the IT Senior Leadership Team.

TBL Consulting, LLC

Sr. I/T Consultant San Diego, CA : 07/06 - 02/08

I was contracted to provide overall project leadership and management for

the deployment of (at the time) one of the top 10 highest traffic volume

all MPLS WAN networks in the nation for Cricket Communications (project

name "VoIP/Superhighway"). This effort replaced completely a legacy network

supporting all CDMA / EVDO cell phone customer and enterprise data services

without incident or interruption of any production platforms or operations.

The project provided facilitation of technologies which resulted in a

direct savings of $23M annually in customer domestic long distance

expenditures. Provisioned the implementation of ITIL methodologies at the

Network Operations Center; including the formalization of SLM and SLA, PLA

and vendor support contracts; aligned the change management, release

management and CMDB to include Network engineering, IT operations,

application operations and product development teams. This included the

alignment and documentation of monitoring alert procedure through Customer

Care to Tier 1, 2 & 3 operations organizations including 3rd party vendor

support. In addition I provided the leadership in the deployment of a new

Cisco VOIP telephony project replacing legacy PBX systems nationwide and

within a 120 day timeframe.

Sr. I/T Consultant Seattle, WA : 06/05 - 7/06

Provide project management & software development life cycle activities for

applications supporting on-line wholesale mortgage lending. The application

processed nearly 5 Billion annually in funded loans. Responsibilities

include: Product management, business analysis, development estimation and

planning, implementation management, post deployment incident management

and enhancement request development and release.

AT&T Wireless Services, Inc.

Senior Manager - Systems Delivery

Management Redmond/Bothell, WA : 05/02 - 04/04

National I/T Infrastructure

Directed a team of managers responsible for all business systems activities

for MMS (mMode, MIM, MAO, Data Service Providers), Billing (2G & 3G Call

Data Record collection, mediation, correlation, FusionWorks, Atlys (bill

rating and bill generation), eBusiness (ATTWS.COM, AWED, ePayment), Online

Care Services (SSO, EA, One link). We partnered with executive management,

business units, I/T development and operations teams to insure all these

mission critical Business Services remain operational at all times.

Coached, Mentored and facilitated the National Data Center Operations SDSM

Management Team initiatives and its efforts to align all groups with AWS

standards in Product Realization Process, Systems Development Life Cycle,

I/T Service Management (ITIL), Software Development Frameworks and Project

Management Institute directives.

Manager III - NDCO Program Management Group 01/00 - 05/02

Chartered a team to organize and manage the successful deployment of new

applications and systems to production operation environments. We partnered

with business units and development teams to formulate process and

procedure to facilitate the introduction of new applications/platforms into

National Data Center Operations. Coached, Mentored and led the NDCO Program

Management Group in its efforts to align with AWS standards in ITIL, PRP,

SDF, TQM and I/T PMO initiatives and directives.

Technology Manager - Western Area I/T Infrastructure 06/98 - 01/00

As a Technology Manager for the HQ area within AWS I gained extensive first

hand knowledge of most corporate operations and individuals at numerous

front-line and upper management levels. In the process of leading large

scale I/T projects, (RTC Campus Build Out, Y2K Desktop Remediation, and

National Software Deployments) and managing all daily infrastructure

operations, I became educated to the day to day challenges of nearly all

corporate departmental functions. Managed over 80 direct reports including,

outsourced vendor organizations, contract service personnel, AWS employees

and managers. Approved all I/T hardware procurement requests for the

Western Area and managed the budget constraints related to these purchases.

Sr. Network Analyst - National LAN Services 03/98 - 06/98

One selected by my peers to become the team lead of a newly formed 3rd tier

network support organization. Our emphasis was on WAN/LAN engineering of

infrastructure systems impacting a 45,000 nationwide user/customer base.

Sr. Network Administrator - HQ LAN 01/98 - 03/98

As a member of the Enterprise Network Services Group I provided production

support activities. In addition to this I also was tasked with establishing

and documenting standardized processes & procedures to facilitate the

incorporation of all regional I/T activities into one nationwide

organization. This involved analyzing organizations and networks to

identify and resolve operations consolidation issues. Also I provided

project planning & implementation of network services from performance

monitoring to versions control, best practice adaptation, standards

development and management reporting.

Operated as an independent consultant to venture capitalists providing

expertise in high-tech industries to identify, qualify and monitor specific

investment opportunities. I provided assessment of intellectual properties

for determination of economic viability and investment value. In evaluating

business plans I also often offered product/project management advice and

occasionally rewrote corporate prospectuses to better illustrate or to

correct financial forecasts based on market potentials.

Incorporated and funded a company to make the acquisitions of intellectual

properties, software products and target companies. These included O'Hanlon

RDBMS, BoeingCalc, BoeingGraph and Berge Software. The product/program

management and positioning strategies I developed during this time period

proved to be quite sound. In fact major software development companies

eventually purchased these products. Computer Associates incorporated

BoeingCalc into SuperCalc 3D. BoeingGraph became the graphical rendering

portion of a leading statistical analysis program.
