Manage estimating dept for current employer. From 2008 to 2010 increased employer’s

annual revenue by 70% and took part in tremendous 2 year period of growth which included

acquisition of nearly 15 million in heavy equipment assets for awarded marine and landside work.

Spearheaded implementation of EVPMS cost control system at last two employers. Provide

complete cost loaded schedules, cost analysis and variance comparisons. Manage analysis of

project cost & production data to update historical estimating databases. Utilized these methods to

‘fine tune’ accuracy and efficiency of estimating department. Developed uniform methods for bidding

SENIOR ESTIMATOR: AIS CONSTRUCTION COMPANY – MAY 2008 TO CURRENT

Manage all operations of estimating department for three separate construction divisions (transportation,

engineering, and marine) Provide final call on all competitive bids, and consult with President on long

term estimating strategy. Employer has seen tremendous growth since ’08.

LEAD ESTIMATOR: AJ DIANI BUILDING CORP – JUNE 2006 TO MAY 2008

Prepare complete cost estimates for large scale structural, heavy civil and general building projects. Take

lead role on all major cost estimates for military, aerospace, healthcare, and entertainment market

projects. Lead estimator for two aerospace initiatives at Vandenberg Air Force Base: the Ground Based

Midcourse Defense Program & the Evolved Expandable Launch Vehicle Program ‘heavy lift’

modifications.

PROJECT ESTIMATOR: CUSHMAN CONTRACTING CORPORATION – FEB 2005 TO MAY

2006

Prepared complete cost estimate for 24 million dollar water treatment plant. 10 MGD plant was single

largest capital improvement project in the City of Ventura’s history. Take-off & price out all process piping

systems and structural elements. Upon award of contract perform site management.

ESTIMATOR/ PROJECT MANAGER: WERNER CONSTRUCTION – 1999 TO DEC 2004

Manage all phases of projects for structural division. Develop design and submit for permits with land use,

zoning and building departments. Prepare preliminary cost estimates for budget and final iteration

estimates for engineering and construction. Negotiate terms, develop schedule, and perform project

management through life cycle. Increased revenue by 20% from year to year

COST ENGINEER: NUMEROUS CONTRACTORS JANUARY 1995 TO AUGUST 1999

Performed take off, cost analysis, and cost data collection on mega projects in Las Vegas, Bay Area and

Los Angeles. Integrate cost & production data into back end databases for improved long term estimating

function. Projects included Bellagio Hotel & Casino, Mandalay Bay Casino, Livermore National Ignition

Facility and Nevada Test Site – Remote Air Base Modernization.

I worked as form setting carpenter and cement finisher during field apprenticeship. Also provided material

take-off survey and assisted with estimates on structural and industrial projects. Used computer skills to

create a standardized labor, material, and equipment cost database and generated estimating templates.

Space Launch Complex Six Heavy Lift Upgrades - Boeing & Lockheed - Value $54 Million

Prepared preliminary budget and final construction phase estimates for refurbishment of existing missile

launch complex. Prepared hard dollar cost estimates for project task orders, and preliminary estimates for

specialty task orders issued to subcontractors. Lead all estimating services for ongoing launch complex

maintenance and second tier integration projects.

Ground Based Midcourse Defense Program - Boeing & Bechtel - Program Value $1.6

Billion

Prepared hard dollar bids for numerous large construction projects including the refurbishment of cold war

era missile silos, construction of a missile assembly building, telemetry antennas and other infrastructure.

Projects were in support of Dept. of Defense integration of anti-ballistic missile program at Vandenberg Air

Force Base.

Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant Steam Generator Building - SGT/ PG&E - Value $9.8

Prepared complete hard dollar bid for construction of massive vertical cast in place concrete structure to

house serviceable steam generator engine for nuclear power plant.

Santa Barbara Bowl Phase C Construction Management - SB Bowl Foundation - Value $14

Million

Prepared numerous conceptual and hard dollar cost estimates for five year improvement plan at Santa

Barbara’s premiere entertainment venue. Employer received an additional five year CM contract in

reward.

Grenada Theater Historic Renovation - Melchiori Construction - Value $13 Million

Bid for award construction at historic entertainment facility in the City of Santa Barbara. Developed long

term cost loaded schedule and prepared conceptual formwork design for massive twenty story exterior

concrete walls, and elaborate interior foundation and stage structure. Employer’s innovative use of PERI

formwork systems landed us on the 2008 PERI calendar as one of the top twelve projects in the US.

Spring Creek and Morro Bay Maintenance Dredging - Army Corps of Engineers - $15.2

Prepared budgetary and hard dollar estimates for marine dredging projects at multiple sites throughout

California. Expansion of marine division provided employer with near doubling in revenue from ’08 to ‘09
