October 2008 to January 2010

Backhaul Product Manager

Subject Matter Expert on acquired Backhaul technology, which optimized

traffic on the A.BIS interface. Served as Product Manager and Technical

Product Manager and managed both Embedded Development teams (Linux) and

Element Management System team (ASP.NET). Subject Matter Expert on all

A.BIS protocols (GPRS, TRAU, HDLC).

Integrated acquired technology and associated Beijing-based development

team into the company, which involved training the new team on company

development processes and educating the domestic development team on the

details of the technology and customer needs.

Managed local and remote development teams. Served as the primary

interface between the Beijing and domestic teams. Started and managed a

new offshore development team in India.

Responded to customer RFP, generated requirements based on the RFP,

prioritized tasks, assigned resources, and established milestones based on

market need and company objectives. Determined resource needs and hired

appropriately.

Built strong relationships with the Test, Field Engineering, Sales, Sales

network.

Feature Lead for Fault Management Subsystem development which involved

working with a remote development team for SNMP Stack development (C/C

The EMS team operated in a Client/.Server environment, while the CLI ran

on an embedded system.

Led the successful release of the GenView and CLI software to JPC lab

trials regarding the industry FTTP initiative. Customers included Verizon

and SBC. This process involved responding to a JPC RFP and generating

engineering requirements.

Directly communicated with potential Tier 1 customers during trials in

order to resolve issues and prioritize modification requests.

Led the team to a complete redesign of the CLI command hierarchy to fit

customer needs as well as stabilization of the VxWorks serial port driver

and telnet software.

Nominated for "Engineer of the Month" award several times and strong

performance reviews. Earned stock and monetary bonuses.

Java developer on the team charged with re-writing the Tivoli Framework in
