Filling a position that will engage my passion, and effectively utilize my knowledge and
experience in the construction industry.
Employment Experience
2005-Present Project Manager, Project Superintendent
Bineham Construction, Eugene, Oregon - As project manager with a commercial design-
build firm, I have experienced a fast paced environment that requires multi-tasking throughout
the day. An “average” day might include meetings with customers and architects, directing
employees, product research, bids for prospective jobs, and job scheduling using Microsoft
Project. I am also responsible for acquiring sub-contractor bids, employee evaluations (and
discipline if necessary), training of employees, and quality control (meeting technical
specifications). It is common for me to manage bio-swales and rain water retention systems as
well as projects that have difficult technical specifications such as medical facilities. I have
worked closely with LEED-certified architects, and have been responsible for applying various
LEED principles.
1999–2005 Self Employed
I owned a business in Eugene that was diversified in the construction industry. I managed
several specialized construction crews on projects around the state. While employing 30+
employees and sub-contractors, I managed quality control by working with crews on a rotating
basis. I was responsible for all scheduling, sub-contracting, and material procurement. In
addition, I handled all business administration and planning for the company.
1998 - 1999 Western U.S. Sales Manager
Contact International, Portland, Oregon - Sales and Marketing coordination team for North
America, and created marketing programs for three different new product lines in both exclusive
and non exclusive territories. I assisted in creating layout and script for new brochures,
designed national trade show booths and retail displays, created individual PowerPoint
slideshows catering to the needs of each distributor, and created and conducted sales training
seminars.
1995 - 1998 Distributor Sales Rep.
The Cronin Co., Eugene, Oregon – I was responsible for over 250 accounts, conducted sales
training and installation seminars, created customized programs to pull retail purchasing
through distribution, and conducted site inspections involving retail customer complaints.
1993 - 1995 Self Employed
