. Performed Lead Project Manager duties for

five separate multi-year Bridge Repair,

Inspection and Maintenance (BRIM) contracts

($90M value) with FDOT Districts 1 and 7 for

the Sunshine Skyway Bridge and over 2000

fixed bridges and 30 movable bridges in a 17

County area. Responsible for overall

project management, safety, budgeting, client

satisfaction, staff supervision of 30

employees and multiple subcontractors,

emergency repair construction management,

marketing and bid proposal preparation.

Responsible for emergency response, bridge

repair design-build execution, technical

report preparation, material specification

and procurement.

contract for Skyway Bridge, ten approach bridges and nine sign

structures. Performed 24/7 on-call emergency response, supervision of

crews/equipment, scheduling of work, estimating, inspection, bridge

engineering, construction supervision, and client/public coordination

as well as contract/budget preparation.

. Performed Assistant Project Manager duties on four FDOT BRIM contracts

in Districts 1 and 7. Performed 24/7 on-call emergency response,

managed emergency repair design-build construction contracts,

scheduled work, supervised crews/equipment, specified materials,

prepared contracts, performed inspection, engineering and QA/QC

audits.

SARASOTA COUNTY PUBLIC WORKS (Jan. 1997 - Nov. 2003)

ENGINEERING SECTION SUPERVISOR, Road & Bridge Division

January 2003 - November 2003

. Managed multiple bridge construction/maintenance projects

simultaneously. Performed bridge inspection and CEI to FDOT

standards, designed and supervised maintenance work on 125 fixed

bridges and 4 movable bridges.

. Supervised engineering staff and managed multiple contractor and

consultant engineering services contracts. Prepared cost estimates,

contract scope of services, bid documents/purchase orders, processed

construction change orders and approved invoices.

. Performed structural design, specified equipment, materials and repair

procedures. Prepared permits and coordinated with permitting

agencies. Performed project-related public meetings and press

releases for bridge projects.

DIVISION MANAGER, Road & Bridge Division

May 2002 - January 2003

. Managed 53 division staff members including 5 field maintenance crews

and all division engineering and administrative staff. Developed and

managed Division's annual operations budget and Capital Improvement

Program (CIP) budget. Managed division's fleet resources and

replacement program. Supervised consultant engineers, specified

equipment, materials and administered construction and maintenance

contracts. Acted as Division spokesperson at public meetings,

prepared press releases for media, made public statements on

television. Performed supervisory engineering functions for all

aspects of roadway and roadway appurtenance maintenance.

PROJECT MANAGER / PEDP ENGINEER, Road & Bridge Division

January 1997 - May 2002

. Performed similar duties to the Engineering Section Supervisor

position above. Acted as construction project manager and CEI

engineer on several multi-million dollar movable and fixed bridge

construction contracts.
