In my position I am designed to develop, direct and lead the company’s safety initiatives, guard
against non-compliance of mandated regulatory issues, always protecting the best interests of
the company and ultimately the company’s bottom line. As the Transportation safety manager I
serve as the lead advisor to the President and executive management on safety related topics. I
implement, lead, direct and manage safety & compliance programs, policies, and procedures.
My essential duties and responsibilities:
1. I would create, implement, and lead the direction of the safety policies, initiatives and
procedures at the corporate level.
2. I serve as a core member of the senior management team and act in an advisory capacity for all
matters that are safety and or operations related
3. Overseeing and directing the safety inspection and audit programs, utilizing all available
industry best practices
4. Designing, evaluating, and revising the company safety programs
5. Continually working hard toward improving personal skills, knowledge, and professional
development
6. Establishing accident/injury investigation procedures; developing related record keeping and
analysis systems
7. Developing and administering safety incentive programs
8. Staying current on all government regulatory requirements to ensure company compliance
9. Identifying and analyzing potential workplace hazards to establish procedures to avoid
accidents/injuries
10. Working in concert with other departments to ensure that safety policies and best
practices are integrated into the company’s ‘Standard Operating Procedures’
