2008 - Present
Served as a consultant for a privately owned company to evaluate, recommend
and install a QuickBooks front end distribution software package. Start-up
business that lacked systems and controls resulting in non billing of
shipments, missing / misidentified product, no inventory reports and no
financial information.
V Rearranged and relocated inventory in warehouse to help inventory
flow, helped construct pallet racking, tagged inventory locations,
trained warehouse personnel on the use of pick tickets, receiving and
shipping procedures.
V Created financial reports including Income Statements, Bank
Reconciliations, Cash Flow and weekly metrics.
V Managed warehouse and responsible for day to day administration of the

Recruited to straighten out the accounting and reporting of this $50
million manufacturing company that had prior year audit adjustments
impacting income of over $3 million, no account reconciliations and
rudimentary reporting. Introduced zero-based annual budget with input from
operating departments. Directly oversaw and lead staff of 4.
V Converted company from purchases accounting to standard cost
accounting with standard variances including, PPV, material usage,
scrap, standard changes, labor and overhead absorption and inventory
adjustments.
V Created detailed staffing and line item department spending and
material spend. Created price volume mix and budget vs. prior year
reconciliation to help management understand the risks and
opportunities in the plan.
