Assistant Director - Computing Resources
Responsible for Server Infrastructure/Support and Project Implementations
with early responsibility for the Network Engineering team. Managed up to
31 FTEs. Project budgets ranged in size up to $16MM.
. Proposed and implemented a complete hardware and version upgrade of
the Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center Email system generating $50,000 in
revenue for Emerging Health. Additionally, performed a complete
upgrade, including a clustered SAN environment for Montefiore's
email System, an $800,000 project and moved a mobile email system
from a pilot stage into full production.
. Led the implementation team responsible for a $2.0MM infrastructure
upgrade at remote practices that included the introduction of
Optical Ethernet technology for WAN connectivity. This was in
addition to securing and managing the $1.5MM budget to affect a
desktop system refresh throughout Montefiore.
. Directed the teams responsible for the design and implementation
$7.5MM worth of network infrastructure and wireless desktop
technology at 4 Health Care facilities as well as upgrading the LAN
infrastructure at Medical Group locations in support of the on line
Prescription system rollout.

. Initiated a study, secured funding ($750,000) and implemented major
LAN enhancements; introduced and implemented new technology allowing
for the transmission of SNA traffic over the routed network generating
and annual savings in excess of $100,000 in T1 costs.

of the MCI contract. Reduced support costs by $30,000 by securing new
vendors. Reduced networking costs by $80,000 through the
implementation of a Frame Relay network supporting remote offices.

reduced by an average of 20 days and established standard maintenance
and back up intervals for all systems (voice and data).

staff. Provided support to Corporate Headquarters, home offices and other
regional facilities. Responsible for systems and networks, cost reductions
and customer satisfaction. Annual budget exceeded $10MM,
. Directed the redesign of the voice/data networks supporting remote
facilities that led to a reduction of $140,000 in circuit and
maintenance costs; renegotiated PBX support agreements saving
$780,000.
. Provided full technical support for a major corporate headquarters
restack including the establishment of a complete network
infrastructure for American Express Bank in an adjacent facility at 7
World Trade.
. Established a Problem Management Center to function as a single point
of contact for an initial 1200 clients. This highly successful effort
grew to support 2500 clients.
. Merged the Shearson telecommunications staff of 55 FTE's into TRS
Technologies creating an organization of 95 FTE's, bringing LAN, WAN,
