Dear Hiring Executive:
I am writing to you to express an interest in a possible full time position
in your design department. Enclosed is my resume for your review.
Since my graduation in 1988 from The Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and
Graphic Art, I have been designing Tee shirts and home furnishings for
screen printing companies. In my most recent position, I have been
designing for junior girls' sleepwear and daywear.
As a designer in the screen printing industry, I have had the opportunity
to work with a wide range of licensed properties, private label, and
generic retail lines. Some of these include: Warner Brothers, Nickelodeon,
Disney, DC Comics, Budweiser, Nascar and many others.
Most of my recent work has been in Licensed Junior Girls' Apparel. However,
I have worked in many different areas in the past. Some of these include
Licensed Tee Shirts, Bath Accessories (hard & soft lines), Beach and Bath
Towels, Totes, Licensed Decorative Pillows and Bedding. In addition, I have
been involved with the development and production of repeat patterns for
non-licensed generic products and apparel.
I consider myself to be very versatile in illustration and design, very
technical and detail oriented and self-motivated with strong problem
solving skills. In a fast paced high-pressure environment, I handle many
situations and tasks well. I feel that my design experience and versatility
would be a strong asset to any company.
I look forward to the opportunity to present my portfolio to you and to
further discuss the possibility of working together. Thank you in advance
for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Kevin Henry
