Graduate Projects and Seminars
1. "Biometrics Security", which combines Biotechnology (BT)
and May'09
Computer Information systems (IT):
. Biometrics is the most unique authentication/verification
technique which is much more secure than typical authentication
approaches, for instance fingerprint based and hand geometry
based approaches are much more secure transactions.
. Designing more sophisticated biometric systems and using
multibiometric authentication systems is the best solution for
security problems.
. By 2020 biometric based authentication systems would be trusted
more in consumer, commercial and government applications
2. Chemical Inventory Database Project
Dec'09
. As a part of group project designed the chemical inventory
database in MS Access that would keep account of: (a) inventory
as to how many chemicals need to be re-ordered (b) how many
chemicals are checked out of the inventory (c) who has checked
out the chemical (d) who all are the suppliers of what chemical
(e) who will provide the grant for chemicals (f) to whom grant
will be issued.
3. "Storage Area Networks (SANs)"
May'2010
. SANs have advantages over other traditional database storage
networks. It helps in infrastructure simplification, information
lifecycle management, business continuity.
. As compared to other database storage networks, SAN helps
improve availability, scalability, reliability, performance,
manageability and return on Information Management.
. Being the best approach for easier, continuous, faster access to
data, it can also work in combination with NAS (Network Attached
Database Model). This provides the maximum benefit to business
processes.
Training (B.Tech Biotechnology)
King George's Medical University, Lucknow, India
Jun'06-Jul'06
Project Trainee
. The King George Medical College, Lucknow, is a premier
institute established in 1911, has been a frontrunner in
medical sciences among medical education institutions in India,
establishing itself as a centre of excellence in tertiary level
health care in the state.
Took training at Biochemistry department of the institute. Worked in the
ongoing research for combating the deadly Alzheimer's diseases . This
research made me learn about biochemical pathways in the brain that
triggers reaction and leads to memory loss. The biochemical pathway of
peroxide ion was the main trigger for the cause of this disease which was
checked by conducting tests on mice.
. Performed biochemical tests on biological fluids (viz. blood,
urine) and its constituents like starch, glucose, sucrose.
Relevant Graduate Coursework
. Database programming
. Advanced Integrated Security and Assurance
. Seminar in database management
. Database design development
. Survey accounting for general business
. Advanced computer applications for business
. IT system development project management
