As the leader in printing, packaging and shipping, FedEx Office is a multifaceted 24 /7 business.

Upon taking over, the Hoover location was 712th of 1079 locations. Within 2 years, through planning

and improvements, I was able to improve the combined performance of financial and operational

measurements to a ranking of 64th of 1081 locations. During a transition in management (October

2007 to February 2008), I was asked to serve as Interim District Manager, overseeing 16 locations in

A labama, Georgia, and Florida.

As Senior Center Manager, I am responsible for overall financial, operational, and human resources

of multiple locations. This includes, but is not l imited to, hiring at all levels at each location, training

and development, initiation of disciplinary procedures, implementation of new processes and

company-wide initiatives as well as analysis of monthly income statement performance-to-budget and

development of improvement plan . In addition, I am responsible for the evaluation of the efficiency,

p roductivity and compliance of managers and employees in multiple locations by establishing

performance standards and objectives; conducting regular operations reviews and performance

appraisals. I have also assisted in site selection for multiple new locations.

Accomplishments:

• 2007 FedEx 5 Star Award Winner : (this is FedEx’s highest award given across all operating

companies) for creation of Batch Production Process that reduced variances and improved key

business metrics (On Time performance for all FedEx Office orders). I assisted Corporate

O ffice, Technology Department, Regional Vice President and District Manager on international

i mplementation of process

• Top 4% of company in customer service measurement for Fiscal Year 2010 and consistently in

I was selected to open a new location in a growing a rea of Birmingham. I assisted the

Corporate Office’s project management team with construction supervision,

p lanning, and installation of furniture, fixtures and equipment to ensure on-time

opening. I was responsible for the recruiting, interviewing, hi r ing and tr aining of

a l l new employees. I n addition, I was responsible for local marketing, customer

v isits, discovering new business for the new trade a rea, and grand opening

a ctivities.

A fter successfully opening the new Inverness location, I was able to lead the team and

m ake profit in only the 5th month following the opening. At the time, this typically

d id not occur for 18 to 24 months. I n the 3 rd year after opening, I was able to lead

t he Inverness location to 55th i n financial and operating combined performance

r anking. The following year, I was able to lead the same location to a national

r anking of 12th of 1184 locations. Upon leaving the Inverness location, I had

developed an Assistant Manager to step into my role and continue the success that

h ad been built.

Accomplishments:

• Served on commit tee at the request of peers that reviewed poor performing locations and

assisted in development and improvement plans for those locations

• Trained Macon, GA and Pensacola, FL managers on opening new branch

• Trained 3 new external managers for init ial Management On-boarding

• Developed 2 Assistant Managers to Center Manager position and 1 Inside Sales Representative

to Corporate Account Representative

After leading this team as an Assistant Manager, I was selected to lead the overall

operations. Du r ing my tenure, I was able to achieve the highest operating profit in

t he district two years in a row (1997 and 1998). Also, I relocated the location in

October 1998. This included working with the Corporate Office project

m anagement team to ensure on-time delivery at the new site.

D u ring a portion of my tenure as Center Manager, I worked directly with the sales

r epresentative on sales calls. After a sales reorganization, I assumed both

operational leadership as well as sales. U pon leaving the Tuscaloosa location, I

h ad developed an Assistant Manager to step into my role to continue the success

t hat had been built. This Assistant Manager ultimately became the Center

M anager of the Tuscaloosa location.
