07/2008 - 07/2010 : Vanguard Health Systems, Nashville Tennessee.
Database Analyst - Maintain and develop Oracle and Windows database
applications for 16 hospitals in 4 markets (New England, Chicago, San
Antonio, and Phoenix). Main responsibility - Unix/Oracle based application:
Avega Decision Support System. All other apps are done in a Windows
environment using Transact SQL, SSIS, and Batch files. Accomplishments -
Implementation, management, and support of Marketware (Physician
contact/meeting/follow-up) information database application across all
Vanguard markets.
09/2000 - 03/2008 : Equifax Information Services LLC, Alpharetta, Georgia.
Developer/Analyst - Development and support of various consumer credit
information applications. These involve: data file translation and
formatting, document creation/generation/transmission, customer service
interfaces, and APIs. Utilized Pitney Bowes - Doc1, Oracle SQL, C, Perl,
and Unix shell scripts, which included all phases of the SDLC.
Accomplishments - Complete reformatting of consumer Credit File and Credit
Score report that were mailed out to consumers and small businesses.
10/1999 - 07/2000 : SEMA Group Telecoms, Atlanta, Georgia.
Programmer/Analyst - Contracted to provide software development, support,
and maintenance of cellular telephony Customer Care and Billing database
applications. Languages used: 'C' with embedded Ingres SQL along with VMS
command procedures in a VAX cluster (Similar to dates 05/95 - 07/97 below).
One of the main projects consisted of converting a serial "Call Rating"
(billing) process into concurrent parallel processes to increase data
throughput and reduce processing time.
10/1998 - 09/1999 : Construction Market Data Group, Norcross Georgia
Application Programmer - CMDG provides the US construction industry
(architects, builders, suppliers, etc.) with current market information. I
was employed to maintain/enhance their customer care and billing system
RDBMS applications, Worked with management and end users to generate
functional specs in the development of new billing and reporting
applications. Programming involved using Ingres DBMS (vision, sql, abf,
reportwriter), MS Access, Shell scripts, and the 'C' and Perl languages
within an UNIX client/server environment.

03/1998 - 09/1998 : Alltel Information Services, Atlanta, Georgia
Client/Server Analyst - Responsible for development, support, maintenance,
and documentation of the "Virtuoso II" Customer Care and Billing System
(CABS) software. This all in one system for: telephony, internet, PCS, and
paging, was written using 'C' and Sybase SQL in conjunction with HP Unix
Shell scripts in a client/server environment. My group was responsible for
maintaining/enhancing that portion of the Virtuoso II functionality which
performed the daily and cycle database data pull downs and uploads.
07/1997 - 03/1998 : Delta Technology, Atlanta, Georgia.
Software Engineer - Contracted by TRW Consulting Services to assist Delta
Technology with Year 2000 (Millennium) date compliance issues associated
with their various IT applications. This effort progressed through the
phases : inventory, assessment, migration planning, renovation, validation,
and implementation. All this was done employing the TRW BDM Smart2000
Methodology. I worked with subject matter experts on up through
departmental managers to gather information pertaining to their
applications. This information was then used for analysis and report
generation to upper management using Microsoft Office tools (Access, Excel,
and Word).
05/1995 - 07/1997 : SEMA Group Telecoms, Atlanta, Georgia.
Programmer/Analyst - Contracted to provide software development, support,
and maintenance of various cellular telephony Customer Care and Billing
database applications. Programming : Ingres SQL with embedded 'C' and
Fortran languages on a VAX mainframe platform. This also involved all
phases of the software lifecycle from reviewing functional specifications
to unit testing.

Software Engineer - Provided software development, support, and maintenance
of various air, water, and soil sample database applications. This
encompassed six applications with three databases all utilizing Ingres DBMS
SQL with embedded 'C' and Fortran language code across a LAN using DECnet
protocols on VAX platforms.
06/1987 - 03/1993 : WESTINGHOUSE/DOE - SAVANNAH RIVER SITE, Aiken, South
Carolina.
Simulation Systems Engineer - Responsibilities included maintenance,
modification, installation, and testing of software and hardware systems
used to train nuclear reactor control room operators. The real time
simulation system utilized Fortran, 'C', and Assembly languages on an
ENCORE Mainframe platform Accomplishments : Software development and
hardware interfacing of Nuclear Reactor Remote Monitoring and Control
System, as well as, integration of a laserdisc based multi camera display
application into the simulation system. The hardware aspect involved
maintaining an I/O system containing over 9000 analog and digital I/O
points used to manipulate control room displays and monitoring equipment
