Project: SAMBA COE DEVELOPMENT and MAINTENANCE

SAMBA (Swiss Asset Management and Banking Applications) is a
technology platform for significant portion of the non-US Merrill Lynch
Wealth Management business. It is an Order and Portfolio Management System
which serves Trade Entry, Valuation, Reporting, Client Enquiries, Client
Interest, Credit Decision, Corporate Actions, Matching SWIFT Advices, Fees
Calculation, Invoicing and Workflow Management.
Most of the SAMBA applications are built on Oracle Database. In the
development phase, developed and deployed the interface between various
systems using Oracle 11i and Oracle 10g. In the maintenance phase, we
implemented the enhancements or change requests using Oracle 11i. Also, the
project involved developing some internal dashboards using the .Net 3.5
framework.

Responsibilities:

The objective of this project is to develop a single global platform to
deliver CDO data, publications and analytical products to its customers.
Also make the CDO Interface to handle all types of investment deals from
US, Europe and Asia as well as with multi currency and language support.
The front end of the Interface was built using J2EE whereas the business
logic was implemented in the Database layer using Oracle 10g.

CAQH is an exclusive provider Database which holds all the personal and
professional information about the providers of WellPoint. CACTUS is the
working database in which the data for the front end application is stored.
The objective of this project is to get the provider information from the
CAQH repository and update the data into CACTUS database daily so as to
keep both the databases in sync.

Responsibilities:
. Created the Oracle package which will pull the necessary data from the
CAQH database using Database Link to the CACTUS Database
. Created Oracle Triggers to track the changes (updates or inserts) made
in the pre-identified tables of the CACTUS database
. Created a .net exe to create a report on the changes done to the
CACTUS tables, mail them to the users and save a copy of the report in
a central location
. Used Informatica to transform and load data from the working Database
to the Data warehouse DB
. Involved in code reviews as a part of Quality Assurance work
