Worked as one of four IS personnel contracted by Rockingham Memorial Hospital
through Digerati, LLC to relocate existing PC's and printers to the new campus. Also
imaged, configured hardware, and installed over five hundred new HP Compaq 8000
Elite PC's at the new campus. All PC's were installed on time and under budget at the
new location allowing the entire hospital to move on schedule and without incident.

Installed, tested, and maintained switching, FIOS, fiber optic, and LAN/WAN systems
October 2009
for the local telecom division of Verizon. Troubleshot and repaired any service affecting
problems that occurred in the central offices. Traveled daily to numerous central offices
in Northern Virginia. Commended by supervisor for being available for overtime and
weekend work.

Provided engineering oversight of telephone switches to ensure sufficiency of line and
trunk equipment to handle ever-growing communication load.
Worked on regulatory issues for company such as Local Number Portability.
Set up Shenandoah County Enhanced-911 system working with county government.
Set up Shenandoah County Wireless Enhanced-911 system in 2003-4 to provide
location coordinates for all wireless 911 calls made within county.
Converted the telephone traffic process from a manual process to an automatic computer
program running on a PC. This program was written in BASIC and then Visual Basic.
It makes use of the mathematics of telephone traffic engineering and has been in use
for over 15 years.
Developed a PC-based alarm system that has been used by company night operators for
over 12 years.
Instrumental in working with company’s Data Processing department to convert
telephone billing format from an obscure format to the industry standard.
