Summary
. 6 years extensive experience in coating inspection field for coating
of steel structures, vessels, storage tanks, equipments, etc
Responsibilities include planning for coating activities (surface
preparation, painting, .etc.) based on project drawings and
specifications, obtaining company permits required for work,
supervising and inspection activities, documentation and overall
quality assurance
. Wide knowledge of current International, National Standards and Client
Procedures.
. Fully familiar with ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements.
. Conversant in reporting/documenting non-conformities, follow up of
Corrective & Preventive action to achieve timely close out of NCR's.

Various painting/coating, visual
inspections of abrasive, grit, garnet, blasting/painting/coating by using
the following measuring instruments:
. Dew Point Calculator.
. Testex Tape, Surface Profile Gauge.
. Surface Profile Gauge with Disc.
. Hypodermic Needle Pressure Gauge.
. Holiday Detector.
. Wet Sponge Pin Hole Detector.
. Chloride Detector, SCM 400 salt tester.
. Tooke gauge, Dry film Thickness Gauge.
. Qualitative test for ferrous salts.

revisions of drawings and specifications and verifying that finished
work meets acceptance criteria.
. Ensure all surface preparation and application is conducted in
accordance with the specified standard for that painting system
according to procedures/specifications.
. Working to the approved design and application schedules in the
required work areas. Coordinate work sequences and interfaces.
. Reviewing painting specifications, technical & safety data sheets,
blasting and painting procedures.
. Checking the validity of calibration certificates of all inspection
tools and equipment prior to and during work execution.
. Monitoring and verifying blasting and painting quality issues i.e.
measuring weather conditions, surface profile, paint thickness,
holiday detection test to ensure compliance with relevant project
specification.
. Provide Coating and engineering expertise input for the preparation of
proposals, method statements, risk assessments, job safety analysis
and quality inductions to ensure the design intent is achieved without
compromising HSE.
. To ensure that all the relevant inspection and supervision activities
are executed in accordance with relevant quality plan.
Documentation
. Maintaining all the documents of appropriate quality records of the
projects as per the standards, as well as preparing reports and
maintaining records.
. Preparing daily progress report to record usage of painting materials,
inspection activities carried out, etc.

. Conducting supervision & inspection of painting/coating system of the
