K-12 Staff Developer Created a special education program. Trained teachers

in effective instructional techniques for all academic subjects, focused on

writing. Evaluated pedagogy through observations and conferencing.

Collaborated with administration, learning consultants and teachers to

design differentiated instructional approaches to meet the needs of English

Language Learners. Edited all report cards and progress reports.

High School for Construction, Engineering and Architecture, Queens, NY 8/07-

7/09

English Department Coordinator Facilitated curriculum development and

assessment design. Administered school-wide literacy testing, evaluated

and managed data. Investigated low-achieving student progress with

qualitative and quantitative data on the Children First Inquiry Team.

Literacy Coordinator Developed and administered school-wide literacy

initiatives in coordination with administration and content area faculty.

Implemented professional development workshops for staff. Assessed and

diagnosed learning needs of incoming students and maintained data. A member

of the Principal's Cabinet.

Director, After School Program Created the After School Reading Program for

fifty students. Supervised a staff of five teachers. Designed a community-

based public arts investigation with a local artist, culminating in a mural

project.

grade, reading below the 5th grade level. Developed units of inquiry and

skill building to meet student needs. Implemented the Read 180 intervention

Technology Based Curriculum Writer Wrote lessons for a manual on the use of

Dell Axim handheld computers for the NYC Board of Education. Piloted Dell

Axims for Region 8.
