MAJOR LOTUS NOTES/DOMINO PROJECTS
Westfield Group - Leasing Management System (2009 - 2010):
Performed complex integration between JD Edwards E1 system bringing data down into Notes/Domino via LEI and custom Lotusscript agents. Then
pushed data from Notes into Oracle 11i ODS for reporting. Also did performance tuning on the Domino UI separating complex Javascript
libraries and consolidating lookups to improve performance by over 100% for page loads.
Republic Indemnity Insurance - Claim Center Conversion Project (2008 - 2009): Converted a Lotus Notes-based Litigation Tracking system to
DB/2 - IBM Content Manager on an AS/400. Developed DB/2 schema, and wrote Lotuscript LEI/LSX code to build SQL scripts that create DB/2
tables and indexes using definitions from a Lotus Notes data dictionary that I developed. Also converted 150,000 Lotus Notes documents to
TIFFs using Windows API and wrote Lotuscript LEI code to upload images to IBM Content Manager and created index tables in DB/2. Worked in a
Lotus Notes 7.0x / 8.0x environment.
Sempra Energy (The Gas Co/SDG&E)- Regulatory Dept. / Commercial & Industrial Sales Group (2002 - 2008): Designed a web-based front-end to
SAP-accounting data that allowed adjustments/transfers to be made to accounts in previous 4 years, and budgets for the next 4 years were
entered into the Domino system by project managers. The process of transferring funds between accounts used a workflow approval process
For the C&I Sales department, I designed a CRM application to track the sales cycle for natural gas usage by commercial and industrial
customers. Used workflow at various steps of the sales cycle to get approval from various levels of management as the sales cycle
progressed, and to automatically move "stalled" projects to the "dead" classification Used Javascript to perform complex calculations and
validations on the project master form.
Additionally, I was responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the Notes/Domino servers at Sempra, as Domino was not
supported by their IT department..
Walt Disney Company- Licensing / Audit Dept (2002): Wrote a Lotuscript application to analyze the data in 100,000+ Notes documents in a
complex audit application. Using the data from the analysis, I designed a schema for a data warehouse in MS SQL Server, and wrote a
Lotuscript agent to populate the SQL tables with Notes data. This was in preparation for moving the application to the .NET platform.
Toyota Motor Sales- Business Process Improvement Group (2001 - 2002): Designed a Real Estate Management tool for use when new people are
hired, people or departments are moved, or when people leave the company. The system coordinated the tasks of the physical moving personnel,
the computer group, the phone group, and the facilities group to make new hires and moves work smoothly with the employee(s) having a
pain-less experience. Also created workflow systems to manage copy center requests, subscription requests, artwork requests, parking
requests, and to track any post-relocation issues. I won 2 awards from TMS for my efforts in making these systems a success.
Sony Pictures & Entertainment (2001): Developed an application to streamline the workflow needed to process a new cable operator subscriber
for one of Sony's cable TV networks (The Game Show Network, etc.). Allows Neilson rankings for the various cable operators to be tracked as
well. Completed, approved contracts were uploaded to an MS Access db via ODBC where they interfaced with the billing system.
So Cal Edison- Technical Governance Group (2001): Developed a system that allowed users to create custom web-based surveys using the Notes
client. Provided reporting and graphs for survey results via Excel's web object and VBScript. Also developed a web-based workflow system
for moving applications into testing, and then into production, and wrote generic test scripts and QA guidelines. This involved the Technical
Governance, eMessaging, and IT Development departments,
Texollini (2000 - 2001): Developed a web portal for outside sales reps to use to calculate quotes and to enter orders online. The system
had a fairly complex workflow for approval of orders, and the Notes based system interfaced with a custom ERP system running on AS/400 and
DB/2 for both reading account information and uploading approved orders.
Marshall Industries/Avnet Electronics (1997 - 2000): Worked as lead consultant on a team of 6 contractors that built a Sales Force Automation
application, with an Oracle data warehouse back-end, and created tools to allow ad-hoc queries of account activity from a browser. Also
built tools for the Intranet that "mined" the data gathered in the SFA application.
The Gas Co. RD&D Dept (1994 - 1995): Designed a project management system that included accounting functions for calculating and tracking
royalties as well as contractor payments. Had all MacIntosh clients.
Other previous clients include IBM, Lotus, Bank of America, Ablestik, Teledyne, BAX Global, Hughes Aerospace, Hewlett-Packard, KPMG, Quest
Software, Digitalk, and Raytheon.
