May 1, 2008 to present: Systems Administrator. Member of a team of system

administrators that manage Linux servers for the Event Management Framework

(EMF) ACTD.

March 30, 2007 to April 1, 2008: Involuntarily recalled to US Navy active

duty, completing a one year Mid-East deployment to Fujairah, United Arab

Emirates. Returned to SAIC for work on March 24, 2008.

December 13, 2004 to March 29, 2007: Systems Analyst. Responsible for the

analysis of Global Command and Control System-Joint (GCCS-J) software

received from the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) to determine

its use by the Japanese Defense Agency (JDA) Central Command System (CCS).

I provided system engineering and integration support, technical assessment

and evaluation of the Japanese GCCS (JGCCS) configuration, monitoring GCCS-

J program and baseline changes to identify impacts on the operation,

maintenance, and evolution of Japan GCCS. Traveled twice a year to Tokyo,

Japan to provide on-site support.

June 29, 2004 to December 10, 2004: GCCS Test Engineer.

Responsible for the testing of GCCS software and documentation submitted to

the DISA GE-4118 Test and Evaluation Group. Installed the Solaris OS and

GCCS software on workstations to test and evaluate the configuration;

produced test plans and reports and generated problem reports.

May 22, 2000 to June 28, 2004: Systems Administrator.

Responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of the Global Command &

Control System (GCCS) Oracle database operating on Sun servers. The systems

are used to develop and test applications for GCCS. My duties include

creating, modifying, deleting user accounts, installing and configuring new

software, performing security compliance checks and integration testing on

new applications, performing daily & weekly backups, and performing

hardware maintenance. Perform system & software integration and security

compliance testing on new software before delivery to the customer. I also

serve as the alternate Configuration Manager and Database Administrator on

the JOPES Database Project.

TEK Systems - Reston, VA. Jan 17, 2000 - May 18, 2000: Consultant

Employed as a Consultant for TEK System's client, KPMG Consulting LLC in

Arlington, VA. I was responsible for the nightly archive of KPMG's

proprietary Accounting Software developed by KPMG's Proprietary Products

Group in the Windows environment and various UNIX platforms, specifically a

Sun Enterprise 450, Sun Ultra 2, HP 9000 server, and IBM RS/6000 server.

My duties included performing nightly incremental saves and full saves on

Friday of the 4 UNIX servers using ARCserve IT for UNIX. Occasionally

receive requests from developers and testers to increase file system sizes,

mount CDROMS, bounce the Oracle databases, and install software.

JAVIS - McLean, VA. Dec. 4,1997 to Jan. 14, 2000: UNIX System

Was responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of the Global

Command & Control System (GCCS) Oracle database servers operating on Sun

Ultra Enterprise 4000 and Sun SPARC Center 1000/2000 servers and two Sun

Ultra 2 workstations. The systems are used to develop and test applications

DMR TRECOM - Vienna VA. Sept 29, 1997 to Dec. 3, 1997: System Tester

Was responsible for testing AT&T's Integrated Ordering System (IOS) which

allows AT&T Customer Reps to create new accounts for new customers. Worked

with Systems Analysts and Software developers in performing functional

testing to ensure IOS worked as designed. Created problem reports when

necessary.

Information Systems and Consultants (ISC) - Vienna, VA. July 17, 1993 -

Sept. 26, 1997

Sept 1994 to Sept 1997: Software Tester

Responsible for the quality assurance of military software and

documentation submitted to the Global Command and Control System (GCCS)

Test and Evaluation group. Installed the Solaris OS and GCCS software on

SPARC 5 and 20 workstations to test and evaluate the configuration;

produced test plans and reports and generated problem reports. Performed

system administration functions on a 20 node Unix Local Area Network. Also

analyzed problem reports to determine solutions to errors discovered by

military users on the GCCS network.

July 1993 to Sept. 1994: Programmer/Analyst

Was responsible for maintaining the Airfields Subsystem of the World Wide

Military Command & Control System (WWMCCS), a large-scale data management

system that provided timely information to US CINCs worldwide. I received

Field Change Orders and Enhancement Specifications from the user community

which required me to analyze, design, develop, modify, or enhance COBOL

source code and later implement and document those enhancements. In the

process, I improved software efficiency and updated both programmer

specifications and user documentation.

Virginia School for the Deaf & Blind (VSDB) - Hampton, VA. Mar 1993 to

July 1993: Independent Consultant

As an Independent Consultant for VSDB, I initially designed and developed

an automated inventory tracking system using DBASEIII+ that established a

database and provided a user interface which enabled the Central Warehouse

to accurately track and control inventory. From July 1997 through June

1998, I redesigned the inventory application to use a Microsoft Access

database with a front-end developed application using Visual Basic 5.0 and

Seagate's Crystal Reports. From April 1999 thru July 2000, added

enhancements to the inventory application using Visual Basic 6.0

Management Technology Corporation (MANTECH) - Norfolk, VA. Sept 1990 to

Feb. 1993: Programmer

Used Informix-4GL Application Development Language to develop and test

programming logic that downloaded historical information from the Naval

Aviation Logistics Command Management Information System (NALCOMIS)

Database hosted on Honeywell's DPS 6 mainframe to IBM PCs, which allowed

users to generate specific reports. NALCOMIS was used to track the

maintenance and supply of aircraft parts for the US Navy.
