OBJECTIVE: A position with a firm where experience (24 years +) with the

networking (LAN), computer desktop/server support and project management

would be utilized.

EXPERIENCE: More than 10 years experience with LAN troubleshooting and

designing of network media distribution systems. Design of cable (CAT5e,

CAT6 etc.) and wire (copper UTP, fiber) infrastructure including

underground cabling and pathways, network Telco rooms, wall fields, server

room build out etc. across the large campus. Experience with Network

cabling vendor management and project management of IT infrastructure work

related to building construction/remodeling projects.

More than 14 years of experience in providing computer desktop

configuration and support of PCs in LAN environment. Involved with the

troubleshooting of problems related to LAN, application software, operating

systems and printing. Have experience with Ethernet networks and dealing

with IPX/SPX, TCP/IP, RIP and other network protocols. Also have good

amount of experience in managing Desktop/LAN support team for large

corporations.

Earlier experience with Windows NT 4.0 server and tools such User Manager,

Disk Manager, Performance Monitor, Wins Manager, DHCP Manager, Server

Manager, Network Monitor etc. Earlier network experience included working

on Novell Servers and Netware Administration.

Field Services Coordinator/Network Field Engineer:

Responsible for troubleshooting of physical LAN problems and Network IMACD

work at Boeing El Segundo site. Also responsible for design and management

of all the voice and data network cabling plant on a large campus, covering

two square miles, 36 buildings, supporting up to 8000 employees.

Responsible for the inside and outside plant cabling. This involved all

aspects of design, planning, awarding of contracts to cabling vendors,

overseeing all work and performing all tasks associated with ongoing

maintenance. Inside plant work involves, copper UTP (CAT5e, CAT6 etc.),

fiber cabling, cable pathways, telecom closet design and build-out, telecom

racks and overhead ladder trays. Outside cabling plant work involves,

designing of underground cable pathways, cable runs, wall fields, vaults

and rights of way. Provide daily supervision to a multi-vendor workforce.

Ensuring all the BICSI standards are followed for all the Network

infrastructure work.

Sr. Supervisor (Network/Desktop Field Support):

Worked as a Network/Desktop field support lead person at the Boeing El

Segundo and Torrance site, and provided customers with the support for all

network, application software and operating systems issues. Also

responsible for resolving connectivity, network, email and printing

problems. Involved with engineering, testing, and configuration of all site-

specific applications. Monitoring and scheduling the workload of the

Network/Desktop field support staff of 12 technicians. Supported 8000 users

in LAN environment. Involved in creating and managing the print queues on

Novell servers.

Responsibilities also included resolution of customer's problems within

specified time limit as per service level agreement and assuring total

customer satisfaction, helping other Network/Desktop support personnel in

Worked on Hughes Aircraft service contract for three years.

Responsible for software/hardware troubleshooting and configuration of all

PCs and Macintosh computer systems, repairing of HP laser printers, and

setting up network workstations for end users.
