Project Manager - The Chubb Group of Insurance Companies, 2002 - 2010
Project Manager
Managed two different multimillion dollar predictive modeling projects,
which involve collection of significant internal and external data,
statistical development of the model, creation of a scoring engine to
implement the code in the production system and business implementation.
Models are designed to predict claim severity at intake, and have resulted
annual savings of millions of dollars.
Directed as many as 15 matrixed employees while also managing internal
contract personnel and remote consultant personnel.
Oversaw and monitored project scope and budget. Kept projects on time and
under budget at all times.
Worked with the client, partner teams, senior management, business
partners, consultants and vendors.
Developed business case for $20M program. Business case projected costs,
return on investment, staffing requirements and timelines for the
eight-year program.
Technical Lead / Developer
Technical Lead - TPA2 project: Led a team that created a sophisticated
batch application to receive external claim data and integrate it into the
existing production system.
Technical Lead - TPA1 project: Directed a Rapid Application Development
team to integrate a new user base and type of claim into the production
system.
Technical Lead - Canada project: Integrated the first new country,
currency and language into the claim processing application as the leader
of a mainframe and client server team.
Developer - Production Support: Worked on major system expansions and
minor refinements.
Programmer / Analyst - Electronic Data Systems, 1997 - 2002
Provided IT consulting services for various clients:
Developed entirely new web site for a nonprofit organization;
Created insurance plan creation intranet site for a health insurance
provider;
Developed an e-commerce site for a wireless internet service provider; and
Created an ordering system for a major telecommunications company.
Environmental Consultant - Foster Wheeler Environmental
Monitored water quality at industrial sites, performed statistical
analysis on the data collected, and reported results to the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency. Developed and proposed a new
statistical monitoring program to the EPA.
Part Time Lecturer - Rutgers University
Taught a course in field research methods to 20 undergraduates. Conducted
field research activities and took students on field trips.
Mathematics Instructor - Hudson High School
Taught mathematics in an ethnically-diverse, inner-city school district.
Supervised extracurricular activities.
Mathematics / Physics Instructor - United States Peace Corps
Taught mathematics and physics in a rural Kenyan secondary school.
Created physics lab experiments with no school equipment. School was in a
town with no plumbing or electricity.

Dean's List honoree. Completed a minor in Secondary Education. Received
state teaching certification. Awarded three varsity letters in
cheerleading.

Cub Scout Pack Master - Watchung Mountain District, 2007 - present
Lead a pack of 70 boys in first through fifth grades. Plan events, manage
budget, oversee den mothers, and perform pack administration. Kept pack
on budget and maintained enrollment while providing exceptional
experiences for the boys.
