Selected to serve as a reviewer for a Funding Opportunity Announcement
(FOA) for HIV projects Special Emphasis Panel in Atlanta, Georgia.
Evaluated the merit of applications for developing and implementing HIV
prevention programs. Identified and discussed strengths and weaknesses of
applications with other reviewers. Successfully reviewed 8 grant
applications and participated in 4 review panels.

Researched and analyzed the progress made on the DC Youth and HIV
Prevention Initiative Plan. Evaluated and monitored the implementation of
policies and programs pertaining to youth and HIV in DC. Liaised with over
5 DC government agencies regarding their HIV prevention plans for youth.
Represented Metro TeenAIDS at over 10 community meetings, conferences, and
government briefings. Drafted testimonies for city council hearings.
Organized and coordinated a panel for testimony on behalf of the DC Healthy
Youth Coalition. Wrote comprehensive summaries, reports and memos on
findings. Responded to inquiries on policy issues from different
stakeholders.

Co-authored the DC "Youth & HIV Prevention Initiative Plan 2007-2010."
Provided oversight and coordinated over 5 HIV prevention trainings for
community- based organizations (CBOs). Facilitated training for adolescents
on HIV prevention at different DPR summer youth camps. Interviewed over 15
local and national stakeholders for Youth and HIV plan. Represented
supervisor at different community meetings and workshops. Facilitated
meetings of the Youth and the HIV Workgroup. Prepared and summarized
results of research on issues and policies pertaining to HIV prevention.

officers in a number of jurisdictions. Conducted a comparative analysis of
the selection standards established by the District of Columbia

Legal Research Analyst March 2001- April 2002
Worked on an asbestos litigation. Performed analysis of legal documents to
ensure responsiveness to the request of opposing counsel and to determine
if documents were privileged. Traveled to Hawaii to assist in the
logistical preparation of interviews of over 200 witnesses at the Pearl
Harbor Naval Shipyard. Conducted interviews and recorded information
provided by witnesses

Conducted sensitive investigations on civilian complaints of misconduct by
New York City Police Officers; locates and interviewed witnesses; analyzed
documentary evidence; interviewed and interrogated Police Officers; served
as a translator/interpreter for Haitian complainants; prepared

recommendations on whether or not a complaint should be substantiated.
