Lead communications engineer with expertise in CCTV and wirelesss applications specifically for outdoor

use and industrial temperature range applications.

TEXAS INSTRUMENTS INC. Dallas, Texas

Mixed Signal SOC Applications Engineer, MSAV Group 2004 2009

Develped an algorithm for Sagem in France to utilize Teletext signal support in Video decoders in Europe. This

was never tested with real life Teletext signals before. This resulted to save important customers in Europe like

Sagem and therefore to retain European Market for TI.

Resolved serious issues in applying non standard Analog TV signals to SKYWORTH TVs, the most important

customer in China. Flying to China and resolving the issues, made more than 10 Million Dollars for TI.

Devised test routines for New Industrial Range Product Line. Tested and verified new ICs in multiple

environments as well as across split lots and voltage/temperatures extremes. Verified test results database to find

any anomalies.

Evaluated failing units that were already used in customers systems. Provided recommendations to improve

ATE software and improve failing part filteration and detection during production.

Worked closely with IC and firmware design engineers to maintain product definition during development.

Designed a daughter card for LG digital tuner to be connected to TI’s Digital TV reference design board,

Characterized Audio noise performance in Digital TV platform. Compared performance of different digital

Tuners including Silicon Tuners from MicroTune or canned tuners from LG/Samsung for HDTV solutions.

This involved Power Supply Design for all different supplies needed.

Developed application collateral, such as Datasheets, Application notes, EVMs and Demo software/script to

support release to market urgency. Managed Sharepoint for knowledge base accessible to local FAEs and

customers.

Worked closely with IC and firmware design engineers to maintain product definition during development.

Winner of Mach20 trophy for reaching $15 Million in year 2006.

ST MICROELECTRONICS (formerly Genesis Microchip) Thorn hill, Ontario

Applications and Field Applications Engineer 2000 to 2002 and 2003 2004

In a group effort, made around $35 Million Dollars for company by supporting major customers like Sony,

Samsung, Sharp, Eizo, Delta, AOC and Dell to utilize first Mixed Signal LCD controller of the company.

Designed evaluation and reference design schematic and boards using company ASICs. Provided easy ways for

customers to port the PCB designs to their own systems.

Designed on board Switching and LDO Power Supply for EVMs and Reference design boards.

Designed circuit and programmed Xilinx FPGA to test the new functionality in source / image synchronization.

Created software workaround solution to resolve issue with Hardware failures.

Provided Training for local FAEs and Customers on companies latest products.

Designed Power Supplies for the EVMs and Reference Design Boards (RDs).
