I have been working as an independent contractor for the New York Times
Index Department since November of 2008. This contract position involves
writing short, concise three or four paragraph synopsis or abstracts of
full-text articles running in the New York Times newspaper, which are then
printed and sold on a subscription basis to research facilities,
universities and libraries.

Catalog Circulation Analyst (2000-2008): Main focus and responsibility
involved creating the mail/email/web list plan for the AMA catalog of
seminars that contained information on all of the seminar products. This
required sharp knowledge of the AMA database and working closely with
outside list vendors. Also was responsible for reporting response results
for each list for every active catalog. In addition, oversaw all
promotional marketing collateral for 14 sales and customer- service
seminars promoted via catalogs, booklets, and solo mail. Pulled together
diverse teams from copywriters, creative service artists and content
providers to refresh old content with fresher, more updated look that fit
overall corporate strategy. Met and exceeded all stringent deadlines for
