Thomson Reuters Beta Systems, Project Manager, January 2009 to August 2010

After successful completion of Bangalore project in liaison role, promoted

into Project Management Office (PMO) as Project Manager. Was assigned to

lead key strategic projects, as well as support key infrastructure

initiatives. Responsibilities included:

. Project management and providing all life-cycle project deliverables

(e.g., project charter, project plan, status updates, reporting, risk

mitigation, issue resolution, etc.).

. Managed the scheduling of project team resources within matrix

environment; resources were not dedicated to projects, thus diligently

worked with development resource managers to productively schedule

resource time.

. Examples of project assignments:

o Led projects in support of the number one strategic priority

within the firm - data conversions (e.g., Wells Fargo/Wachovia

Securities merger, conversion of Ameriprise Securities onto Beta

System, FDC Correspondent conversions, etc.)

o Development project manager for technical resources focused on

Thomson Reuters Beta Systems, Bangalore Security Master Liaison, August

2008 to January 2009

Promoted to newly-established position as liaison to Bangalore. Primary

objective was to establish the framework for successful transition of

development responsibilities for the Security Master dobe from the

Brookfield, Wisconsin operations to Bangalore, India. Responsibilities

included:

. Fulfilling role of Project Manager/Owner for the Bangalore Security

Master Ownership Project through:

o Creation and management of Project Charter, Training Plan, Risk

Mitigation Plan, Communication Plan, Project Plan, etc.

o Acting as strong advocate of the project throughout all areas

that are affected

o Working closely with Executive and Project Sponsors for

effective decision-making

. Alignment of key stakeholders throughout the organization (executives

and senior Bangalore staff were fully aware of program and received

buy-in) and assuring team preparedness (e.g., resources were

identified, appropriate support documentation was in place, etc.).

. Successful completion of this transition in January of 2009, with all

capabilities for development transferred to the Bangalore team.

Thomson Reuters, Team Lead / Project Lead, June 1998 to August 2008

Responsible for new product development, ongoing maintenance and support of

securities processing software. Duties included supervising / leading and

assigning project and operational workloads for a multidisciplinary team

(for up to fourteen technical developer and business analyst resources)

focused on driving the business and technical direction of various aspects

of the company. Responsibilities included:

. Assignment planning and resource allocation / management to meet

project goals.

. Evaluation of work performance and providing mentoring, staff

development and training, as necessary, to meet project and

operational objectives.

. Resource management, including interviewing and providing hiring

decisions.

. Providing annual performance reviews, as well as disciplinary action.

February 2008 to August 2008 Special Projects: (Thomson Reuters)

. Team Lead of Bloomberg project, which focused on automating the setup

of numerous types of securities. This included leading many resource

types (e.g., internal business analysts / developers, contractors, as

well as the Security Master support team). This project was

transitioned with the expectation to come in ahead of schedule and

meet all system requirements successfully. This project eliminated

the manual effort in setting up a security (from up to 30 minutes down

to less than 1 minute) significantly increasing operational

efficiencies and eliminating manual entry errors with this new

automated process.

December 2004 to February 2008 Special Projects: (Thomson Transaction

Services)

. Project / Team Lead of Securities Pricing project, which focused on

moving Securities Pricing from a legacy file to XML, providing prices

to Security Master three hours earlier than was previously available.

This was a significant gain to the efficiency of the processing

schedule to meet service level agreements.

. Project / Team Lead of Security Number Normalization-Phase II, which

replaced hard-coded range logic with a dynamic subroutine to identify

securities. This three-year long project proactively allowed for

future processing of security types beyond existing ranges (impacted

1500 programs across all areas of the business). Was one of the first

in the company to successfully incorporate off-shore resources into

the project team.

. Project / Team Lead of Historical Pricing project, which focused on

new functionality that would provide a three-year+ period of

historical security prices. This functionality was also used by other

processing to account for Berkshire Hathaway's price over 5 digits.

This provided for the extension of historical data analysis.

June 1998 to December 2004 Special Projects: (Thomson Beta Systems)

. Project / Team Lead of Release One project, providing A.G. Edwards

access to Thomson Beta's Security Master fifteen months prior to

conversion. This project was critical for this important customer to

establish a stable environment (switching from their failing Security

Master system to Beta's Security Master system) in order to further

assure the success of the full conversion to Beta's systems.

Lead programmer analyst for commodities, supporting and enhancing

commodities applications. All enhancements and customizations were written

in COBOL and CICS. Responsible for performing entire lifecycle
