converted SAP datatypes to Oracle datatypes. Converted DB2

stored procedures on mainframe to the Oracle stored

procedures on unix.

Wrote Oracle 9i stored procedures, using TOAD.

These stored procedures provide EDI between OCM and

different insurance companies by ftp'ing and encrypting

files between Linux and Windows servers.

The data is transmitted in binary and ASCII formats,

depending on individual profiles, which include (source,

destination directory, encryption indicator, compressing

indicator, login ids. Passwords, schedule, file names,

etc.)

Maintained banks Report System (Atlas 2) written in

Microfocus cobol, Oracle 9i which is running on Unix

(AIX).

Modified Microfocus cobol programs, Korn shell scripts to

provide Canadian branches with reports in English or in

French, depending on the province name. Modified scripts

to animate programs and to redirect files to different

locations. These scripts use different Unix utilities (awk,

sed, grep, sort, etc.)

Assisted Highmark Blue Cross/Blue Shield with the analysis,

design, and implementation of programming modifications of

their Revenue Estimation and Group Settlement system,

developed new and maintained existing Microfocus cobol

Created PL/SQL blocks and stored procedures to insert the

data into

Oracle tables.

Compiled Microfocus cobol programs to int, idy, gnt, using

Korn Shell script. Tested programs using Microfocus cobol

Conversion project (Consultant).

Converted programs from Windows 2000, RM Cobol to Unix/AcuCobol.

Resolved the current problems with the scrolling data on the screen

with

the arrow keys, compiled, debugged, transferred, tested various

batch and on-line programs.

Project included the store field expansion, changing the location of

the data files, resolving the problems with the function

keys.

Used Alfred utility to display and to change the data in the

datafiles,

ftp commands to transfer the programs and the

datafiles.

Updated the Korn Shell scripts, using vi Editor.

Wrote new and maintained existing programs using

Microfocus Cobol, AcuCobol GT, DB2, rebuilt VSAM files using WFL

These programs provide real-time, interactive communications

between ambulatory providers and payers through the full

automation of all types of health care transactions - claims

Maintained and supported Work Management Subsystem

for the major Rail Road Company in North America.

The WMS subsystem is used to define, organize and prioritize

maintenance requirements for the entire railroad.

The System provides for creation of the various work order

types, such as Scheduled periodic inspections, RSU corrective

work orders and support shop work orders, support scheduling

of work order tasks and printing of daily work schedules.

MicroFocus Cobol/CICS is implemented as a front end, Oracle 8

as a back end, UNIX(AIX version 4.3.2.0) as an operating

system.

Developed Korn Shell Scripting using vi Editor.

Responsibilites included design of significant new subsystems

of Rolling Stock Management System (RSMS), coding of newly

designed modules, debugging program using the animator,

unit and system tests of new modules, turnover of new

enhancements to production.

Worked individually as well as part of a small team of

Maintained and supported Time Detail System, for major accounting

Company (KPMG LLP), this system is

written in Microfocus Cobol2.

(Widndows operating system and Mainframe).

Heavy user support based on the

implementation of Remedy system,

used Microfocus workbench to write the source code, Animator to

debug programs,

Workbench File Loader (WFL) to Recover corrupted indexed files and

to convert data files from EBCDIC to ASCII format.

Accounts Payable, accounts receivable

programs were rewritten and tested to make them Y2K-

compliant, modified according to the specs.

Rebuilt VSAM files using WFL utility (accessed form the workbench

menu).

Examples of developed programs:

program to process control file to determine next cycle end

date, make data Y2K compliant, to sort data in the

personnel file if effective dates were in the wrong order.

Participated in the Design and Creation of the new TDS/HR System,

where data were brought from the Oracle tables, instead of

using VSAM files downloaded from mainframe.

Created and populated with data Oracle tables: Personnel,

Client and Engagement.

Processed data from these tables using Oracle SQL and different

functions

(SUBSTR, CONCAT, INITCAP, TO_CHAR, TO_DATE, SOUNDEX, AVG, COUNT,

etc.). Created Oracle procedures, functions and

triggers.

Programmer

Wrote programs in MicroFocus COBOL II, Cobol2, APS, C with SQL to

process data from various tables using Watch, Step, setting

conditional Breakpoints and Zoom. Both character based and

GUI based versions are implemented. Programs support

Automotive and MaxiShip systems. Maintained DB2 data using

SQL Insert, Update and Delete statements for embedded and

interactive formats. Created and maintained hundreds of

Automotive and MaxiShip related programs. These programs

are written using the Client/Server Architecture; tested

and ran with the workbench animator.

I also supported the part of MaxiShip system that was written in

Microsoft C, v7 and DOS.

Managed version control and migration

to the new release of Automotive

System using PVCS.
