Apple Inc. designs and manufactures consumer electronics like iPod, iPhone,

iPad, computer Hardware and Software products like Mac OS X, iLife suite,

iWork suite, MobileMe etc.

Project Highlights:

Spearheading the following programs:

. MobileMe Application Support: The team of around 30 folks stationed at

Cupertino, USA and India, provide 24*7 production support to the MobileMe

set of applications. This team is further divided into groups, with each

group providing production support to the 60+ applications that cater to

the suite of MobileMe services.

. iTunes/iPhone/MobileMe Reporting: The team of around 20 folks stationed

at Cupertino, USA and India, provide canned reports, extracts and

dashboards for iTunes, MobileMe and iPhone for various groups like

Marketing, Operations, Engineering and Top Mgmt.

. iWorkShare Development: The team of around 8 folks work on development

and enhancement of server-side features for iWork.com.

Key accomplishments:

* Conceptualized, planned and formed the MobileMe Application Support team,

to continually take up, assess, monitor and mitigate technical issues of

around 60+ apps, round-the-clock.

* Set up very high standards in Project execution by managing process,

requirements, systems, schedules, risks, issues and reviews for all the

programs, from day 1.

* Designed and implemented changes to back-end iTunes reporting programs to

align with the new Database schemes for horizontal scalability.

* Instrumented the design and development of a PHP-based MobileMe reporting

portal, with enterprise-level features of workflow for user

subscriptions, authorizing subscriptions, SSO authentication to portal

etc.

* Championed the conversion of common utilities and scripts into frameworks

thus considerably reducing the development time of future reports and

back-end programs.

* Put in place a monthly release Scrum process for the reporting tracks.

Each sprint starts with identifying the scope, reviewing with Engineering

and Management and then proceeding with the development.

Project Highlights:

Apple Production Support (APS) team provides 24*7 support for around 100

applications belonging to Apple IS&T. The team is spread across onsite

(Cupertino, CA) and offshore (India) to provide round-the-clock support.

* APS team was divided into few groups, which provided support to a bunch

of related applications. Was part of one such group, which supported a

number of key applications like Radar, Sonar, EAI, New File Archive and

Espresso.

* For the first year provided support from offshore (India) and the rest of

the time from onsite (Cupertino, CA)

* Resolved issues faced by the users in the various applications and also

provided bug fixes.

* Conducted transition sessions in order to be able to take up support of

new or enhanced applications. These sessions consisted of Knowledge

Transfer, environment setup, issue analysis, current system appreciation

etc.

Radar is Apple Inc. bug tracking system and is a tool for maintaining the

hardware and software development projects in Apple. The project involved

enhancing the Radar application to come out with its next version. It

included new functionalities and important screen changes, both in Radar

and Web Radar.

* Worked closely with the Application owner and business users of Radar to

understand the requirements.

* Worked on the Design and Test planning of the requirements.

* Worked on Development, Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing and

Deployment of the releases of the application

* Provided primary support and transition to the support team.
