I am a Engineer in the email and messaging department on the Social

Security Administration contract for MicroTech. My responsibilities include

administration of the Exchange infrastructure for Social Security.

Responsibilities also include the implementation of an Email Archiving

system. This is to include the choosing of a vendor.

I work with in a team that is responsible for the messaging environment for

CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield. This environment includes Microsoft

Exchange 2007, Lotus Notes R6.5 and BlackBerry Enterprise Servers.

CareFirst recently migrated from Lotus Notes to Microsoft Exchange for our

email. This migration included over 5600 email accounts. Blue Cross's still

utilizes Lotus Notes for it's database and applications. I am the

BlackBerry Enterprise administrator. This includes over 650 blackberrys. I

also am responsible for level 3 day to day troubleshooting and issues

resolution. My responsibilities also include the administration of the

companies email archiving system. This system is comprised of four Symantec

Enterprise Vault 7.5 servers. I work with the appropriate people to

implement archiving policies. We are currently working to upgrade these

servers to Symantec Enterprise Vault 8.0.

Messaging Systems Administrator II

5/2006 -9/2007: Peak Technologies, Columbia MD

I am responsible for providing top-level support for the company email

system that includes four Domino Servers. These servers are comprised of

one Blackberry Enterprise server, two SMTP servers and one mail server. I

am also tasked with the Barracuda Spam Firewall device. I have recently

completed the CCNA boot camp. I have recently taken over the Network

Engineer position, which has the responsibility of all the Cisco firewalls,

routers and switches. We have upgraded our network to include new Cisco ASA

security devices, new switches and new Internet routers. This upgrade took

place during off hours. I am also responsible for Peak Technologies Network

perimeter security. I am also responsible for the Barracuda Web Filter. I

also provide mentoring to our helpdesk personnel on all Lotus Notes issues

that are brought to their attention.

Notes for email and other databases, Citrix servers for remote access,

Windows 2003 servers, Cisco Router, and Watchguard Fireboxes. I am

locations. This includes setting up remote VPN users. Provide daily upkeep

and future planning for our Microsoft Windows 2003 network. Give support to

Provide senior level support for a windows 2000 network running on Dell

servers. Servers include four Citrix, three Lotus Domino, one File and

Print, one backup, one Cognos, and two domain controllers. Provide senior

level desktop support to end users. Mid level support of our Cisco routers,

switches and Pix. Use Symantec Ghost to provide standardized desktops and

laptops. Project leader for Bar-Coding and warehouse maintenance

installation, integration and training for our 14 located thru out the Mid-
